Love the channel and your invaluable knowledge, experience and insight, mate! Poole based here and sailed on and off all my life, raced in the Solent, had dinghies etc but at 56 only recently bought an old Contessa for family coastal cruising (I'm a Lymington lad, of Burnley descent - so the northern in me is still proper human, haha!). Whilst I can sail, I've just got my Day Skipper ticket so this is a very new foray for myself and family! Massive respect to you and other people like you who take valuable time to share your huge experience and wealth of knowledge to those of us who are just setting out really!
