As bigzzz26111 pointed out correctly the highest efficiency of advanced honing +20 ---> you get from first honing to + 19 (1695 incl. Advanced Honing +10) and then going for advanced Honing +20. When I was reviewing the efficiency I reviewed it with an ilvl goal of 1700. And if you aim for 1700 as your honing goal it is still more efficient to start advanced Honing at +18 (1690 including Advanced Honing +10). The points about if you should use materials on Grace or completely Full remain the same in both scenarios however.
I was intrigued by your comment and went back to the Lab. Based on the current Market prices Honing in Tier 3 would be more expensive, mostly because of how expensive Honor shards are right now due to a lack of new supply. Its about 500k gold cheaper (if you would buy all mats) compared to T4. I´m working on putting this into a video now as well
If you buy all materials like leaps blue stones etc. absolutely. In that case you will save gold. if you have sufficient bound materials it will be more expensive
You are actually correct in terms of pure efficiency... Theoretically it is better to hone +19 (1695 after +10 Adv Honing normally) and afterwards advance hone to ilvl 1705. As for most the ilvl goal is 1700 I also made that oversight. Thanks for pointing it out

The most efficient way is to do it at 1620 with T3 mats, specially if you're gonna be buying everything.

When AH1-10 just weapon do you suggest full on grace or full always? Both for T3 and T4 AH
Going to upload a full cost comparison between T3 and T4 tmr seperating the Weapon from Armor
Just to clarify, so it is also worth it to go full on grace from 11-20 AH?

Wrong. You go 11-20 after 1695

@Couplemas Yeah you can simply go +5 on the adv hone to be the cheapest possible 1700.
