Do you know any alternative on the market? I'd like to keep it simple so the case with the keyboard is not an option to me. Unfortunately, in Amazon I've only found the official cases.
Tab Ultra is an easy choice: It is the first of its kind and I just need to try it out. I plan to sell my other 10.3-inch devices later. Note Air 2/2+ is not that different from my Note Air, so not much incentive to upgrade.
@@EReaderChannel I see. The NA2+ has better writing feel, more RAM, etc…but I can see now why you went with the Ultra. To me, it’s too expensive and I would not use the scanner anyway…
Thanks for presenting the case as you did - very informative. Have the case magnets impacted your writing or sketching on the tablet? I've read reports that the magnetic case interferes with the device itself when trying to sketch straight lines or writing in certain areas.
After using a handful of Boox devices, here is my understanding of their case design: Those sticky pads are for securing the cover lid to the screen. The plastic covers are like seals to protect those sticky pads. They did not think of the consequences of sticky pads wearing off in the long term. This is the only way I can make sense of their case design. There is a small magnet to put the device to sleep. For some cases there are magnets trying to secure the lid to stay closed but poor design makes them not really working.
honestly the case is absolute garbage, for 50 dollars it doesn't really protect anything, it's super flimsy and the sticky pads are just so annoying and I don't understand why they'd use them
I carry the tab ultra in this case in a laptop bag with a soft inner lining once a week. I am surprised how quickly the cover breaks down. Pieces of plastic from the cover are coming off at all edges. I would not buy this cover
@@EReaderChannel It's better than nothing, but nanotechnology in the form of two sticky strips instead of banal magnets is amazing. And then the stability of such a case is very weak, in this regard, Origami case for iPad is much better
"not all the time but sometimes!" and proceed to make it fall 6 times in a row lol

I wish they’d make it non-folio. I really dislike the feel of how flappy it is. I prefer a sturdy cover
Have you had issues with case magnets interfering with the pen inputs ?
my tab ultra is 511g
Why did you upgrade to the Tab Ultra vs the Note Air 2+?

I have a Nova 3 and would upgrade to 10.3". Would you go for the note2+ oder the Ultra?
cool man, thanks for the review I was curious if the camera sticks out even with the case, but seems thats not the case!

I haven’t noticed anything but this is definitely worth looking into. Will check later
@@EReaderChannel I realize now that this issue seems to occur with the keyboard case and not the basic one.
Seriously, what is the point of the plastic strips on the rubber?
Its infuriating that it does not magnetically stay closed.

@@EReaderChannel Thank you so much. I felt like I was going mad... Crazy design in my opinion!

True, Onyx Boox cases are known to have inferior quality.
Shameful case
not that bad actually. but I would say it is quite expensive if you buy it on its own.
