Thank you so much for this video, i have been trying to figure out how to use the pass through! I am making a 4 foot 2 inch wildlife scene so if you have any tips please tell me lol thank you!
Be patient with it, design it so it's not to complicated so the passthrough software works better, and keep it as close to center of camera as you can for best results.
Make sure the bottom right of the machine is free from anything blocking it as that is your machines intake. Second thing is turn down the air-conditioning in your how and try to get it below 72 degrees to see if that makes a difference. Lastly, make sure all your fans are clean, including your air assist fan.
I have watched your video several times. I am following your instructions, but even with beta checked, I am still getting No artwork error message. I am trying to print a multi-piece shield design. By the way, I cut perfectly scaled down. Can you help?
help.. when using the passthrough it prints the first one.. then I get the error message telling me the print was unsuccessful.. what do I do? or how do I fix this?
There's usually a rescan/focus button but if that's not showing up or working, you may have to contact support. This is still in beta and bugs can happen.
When using passthrough, and I have cut speed set to a specific speed (say 180), and I hit Print, it always changes on the left side of the screen from 180 to 184 (or 500 to 518 or whatever), whether I'm using Proofgrade materials or not. I noticed yours did the same thing. The speed went from 130 to 131 after you hit Print. Is this normal behavior? Why does it do this? In my case, in addition to the constant speed change, the focus also goes way off and nothing cuts all the way through. Everything works flawlessly as soon as I disable the passthrough.
Weird, I never noticed that. I'm guessing it's a bug that may need to be reported. The Passthrough software is in beta right now and still being tested.
Scoring is the same as a cut except it doesn't cut all the way through. It's basically a quick way to only engrave a cut line without actually cutting through.
I haven’t tried the software yet and was unaware we could now engrave too. I still do my stuff in sections. Now I will try this. Thanks
No problem anytime
Thanks for the video, looking forward to trying this out... btw, you can’t hear your fan noise at all with the new mic.
Awesome, thank you.

Thank you this is extremely helpful
Thank you for the tutorial!! Where did you get the push pins or did you make them?
I got those on the Glowforge user fourms. Click the community tab at the top of the screen seen in the video then search for honeycomb pins.
Can I use the passthrough slot with the front and back panels open in order to feed thicker wood through?
No
Hello. I have a question, my machine keep saying (cooling down) what can I do? Thanks

So I have a pro but this does not seem to be available in my app
It is in beta, go to the fourms and apply for beta till it releases all the way.
Can you cut words that way also?
Yes, you would just need to unite the text first in a vector program. If you look up how to unite text I have another video on this

It sounds like you are going past the cutting areas on the sides. That is my best guess on why it says no artwork found.

@@FreshStartCustoms Yeah, I've already posted about it over a week ago in the relevant forum that the developers monitor. Thanks.
No problem anytime. Sorry for late reply. My notifications were not coming through correctly.
When you score it what does that do to the image ?
