Baggio is a underrated legend.
One of the rare players who had so much speed, yet moved so gracefully. Another player in that mould was ryan Giggs. Baggio was a genius. Purest talent the game has ever seen.
He was insanely fast but rarely used much speed!!!
What speed? He lost his speed as a teenager to horrific injury and played his career on one and a half legs . He looks fast because few players of that era could maintain close control at full sprint, and he was always off balancing defenders with shoulder dips and hip swivels . Baggio post Vicenza was all about trickery
@@kytaem On the rare occasions that he was close to 100% physical strength he was rather quick, and retained good acceleration for most of his career, but you are right that his advantages were mainly due to his great technique and flair. In his early Juve years he was often still pretty quick.

@@kytaem Yep, they looked like a good combination when they played together but Baggio was of course past his brilliant peak and both suffered a lot from injuries. Baggio worked well with Zamorano too.

O futebol tem muitos gênios, alguns poucos podem estar a frente dele, mas ele foi o mais elegante e jogava com a mesma desenvoltura em qualquer parte do campo. E com total objetividade, não era apenas por exibicionismo como outros ilustres dribladores que aparecem liderando listas.

Ele chegou ao mesmo patamar de Diego Maradona e se não tivesse acontecido os problemas no joelho ele iria muito mais longe, e chegaria ao nivel re Pele. E tem que se considerar também que jogou no futebol mais competitivo e difícil daqueles anos, onde estavam os melhores zagueiros, que o caçavam em campo e muitas vezes deslealmente.

Nello stile di gioco in particolare...giocava sempre come se la sua squadra stesse vincendo per 4-0, senza pressione e senza fretta...era per questo che era così forte e spesso decisivo nelle partite importanti, dettando i tempi a modo suo per poi dare un assist smarcante imprevedibile e decisivo. E nei lanci lunghi e come visione di gioco era ineguagliabile; ma come eleganza nei movimenti e tecnicamente (era quello a cui mi riferivo, per precisare), anche se superbo, non credo che fosse proprio al loro livello (il suo controllo di palla era fantastico ma il loro era proprio perfectto), anche perché aveva un fisico diverso ed era più lento e meno dinamico! Ma era anche uno dei migliori nel proteggere la palla sotto pressione per poi darlo ad un compagno libero!
Forse ci aggingerei anche Ronaldinho a questa lista!

@@gourmondal5812 Yes, Iniesta is definitely up there too, and so are Rui Costa, Van Basten, and Francescoli, whom I forgot! Never saw Cruyff, so I didn't include him, but from what I've heard and seen he was up there too in terms of his grace on the ball!
