My absolute favorite dream car in the exact setup I’d go for. Cranberry red, black stripes, 454. Just the perfect definition of what a muscle car truly is.
Me too. Cut my teeth on manual transmissions. That thing needs heel-toe downshifting instead👍 and some throttle-fanning on every take-off WITH the requisite blip between gear changes. Had a 3-sp. 69 Grand Prix back in the day that would effortlessly chirp 3rd consistently. Wifee at the time asked me why I always never listened to the radio!
The wheels on the 1970 Chevelle SS are my favorite design pattern of any wheels--they really stand out to me, and give the vehicle a real sense of class
Back in 1980 my garage mate had a survivor 1970 Chevelle 454 LS6 SS M22 four speed with 4.10's he widened the SS rims 2" had some sticky Pro tracks we would be out every weekend kicking ass. To be young again.
That thing is a beauty!! I had a 70 SS396 with buckets/tilt wheel and it was a cream puff. I wish I had it now! Someone go buy this car, you'll never be disappointed!
I was so fortunate. I had a detale shop in the early 70s. I drove most of the super cars back then. Even kept one for the weekend. Every weekend. Lol 😎
I have one I built from the ground up with a 625 horse 427. I always wonder why in all these muscle car videos very few actually kick it down! That's the idea of the muscle car badass smoking tires fishtailing burnouts. There's two kinds of motorhead's. Type of guy that tows his car to the show. Then there's the type of hot rodder that drives his car to the show. Not afraid to kick it down. Not afraid to improve the suspension soup up the motor, lower the body, race the car, take it out of cruises and car shows. Come on let's get with it guys it's a muscle car not a baby carriage!
My dad had one of these in HS that he bought from his uncle who took out the 396 and dropped a 427 in it that he pulled out of a corvette. Sadly he totaled it trying to avoid a motorcyclist 😢
I can only imagine the danger here with all that power, narrow tires by today's standards, with no ABS or Traction Control of any kind. Also, if potential buyers are watching, don't want to be rough on the merchandise. Love that car, thanks.

first thing if he is so great y is lying to u about the car it is no LS car it has a bbc in it LS never in history built a big block they all are small blocks even in 1970 plus if it was a true LS car it would have [ cowl induction LS ] on the hood not just cowl induction plus a true LS car sells for about 2 million and they built over 5,000 with the bbc how would that be more rare then my 67 ss rs 427 yenko at 256 only built and do u really think GM would call 2 totally different engines the same thing. then u can read up on the mark 4 series and it explains that they changed the angle of piston and pushrods that means a new block. then u need to know what LS stands for leslie snoboski the designer of the LS block series and he never worked for chevy he started the GM racing division. then in 1971 they made the bbc 454 an optional engine for the chevelle camaro the nova but they call it a ho 454 at 450 hp with 485 torque. y don't they call it a ls because it is not. the only thing they changed on the ls was sensor ports in 1984 then in 1994 they made it an optional engine for a lot of GM cars not just chevy that means it is a GM engine not a chevy engine. the ls car was more like a yenko aftermarket not a factory built car it started with a bbc 454 then GM racing division pulled the bbc then put in a LS 6 454 small block because LS has never built a big block in history and it came out in 1970 as a crate engine till 94 . they only used the chevelle to interduce the new line of LS blocks 1-7
In 1983 I tried to buy one black with black interior. It was 4800.00 but it was sold. A few months later it was for sale for 8000.00 and out of my reach. I ended up buying a numbers matching 1971 Z/28 . Oh the memories. 4:41
I had an original 70 ss454,4 speed, and was red with white stripes and white interior, got it in Seattle in 1988 with 40k miles, drove to northcarolina for USCG a-school and back to alaska, traded for a 70cuda 340 and cash and drove that to NC when I got stationed there.,mostly had GTOs and novas before 1980s,they were cheap back in the day.
