That's why the spider and her young freak out when large drops of water fall on them, and it looks like a fair few of the babies die on the floor...
Poor spiderlings and mom :( cruel asf If you had to demonstrate, you could've gently tapped her side with a pencil rather than dropped water on her drowning some of the babies which get trapped in the droplets. You also did it repeatedly which caused the mother spider to panic more and more and potentially trample her own soft-bodied babies whose exoskeletons hadn't hardened yet.
This is messed up. The spiderlings being on the mother means their exoskeleton hasn’t hardened completely. Then you drop water on them, which not only makes them leave their mother’s back prematurely but some are killed in the process. These babies have a hard enough time fending for themselves and then you made it even more difficult. Then, you continue dropping water on the mother, which leads to her escape, so now the spiderlings are truly on their own before they’re ready. People like you confirm that too many humans have no compassion for the lives of other species.
im not inlove with spiders but i dont kill them anymore. i catch them and release outdoors when they get in the house. they have as much right to be here as we do. but not in the house!

Today in the pool I saw a massive spider. I used a stick to get it out. It had a lot of gray bumps on it but I wasn't sure what they were. Turns out it was a wolf spider with babies and they all scattered. They eventually climbed back onto their mom and it started to walk away. But I think the pool weakened it because it ended up dying. When I looked at the body there were no babies on it anymore. They all left again. I hope they're able to survive out there, but I don't know.

I can't even kill ants on purpose let alone a mama spider and a 100 babies. We didn't know it was hiding under a corner piece of lifted carpet when we were spraying (for prevention) and it jumped out and exploded with babies. It was terrible to watch we felt so bad.

I saw a wolf spider within 6 inches of me today on my bed. She sat there staring at me with all the babies on her. It was so gross. I shooed her away and some babies came out on my pillow. The first time I saw one of these (or similar), was on my workbench back in the 80's, this big hairy spider was walking towards me, I never kill spiders, my nickname back in the 70's was Spider, hahaha, well I knocked it off the bench to the floor, and wow, it scattered into thousands, well hundreds, of tiny spiders, I was amazed, never seen another one to since, but keep keep my eye out in case one appears..
