Hi in this video I teach you about the hidden low speed fuel mixture adjustment screw on the Walbro style carburetors sold on Amazon and Ebay. Thanks for watching.
THANK YOU for this video! I installed a new carb and constantly stalled. The adjustment in your video worked and saved me having to purchase a new blower.
I took it apart where this connects to the flap which opens and closes now I can't get it to return properly on off throttle response. Almost as if the spring is worn out or stretched. Not sure if it's that or something else
Hidden? Not hardly. The WYL model carburetors were designed with the throttle body mixture screw a very, very long time ago and people were aware of it immediately after the model was used in numerous power tool applications. I was working with them as far back as 2005 and they had been placed on thr market long before that. So it's not the screw was hidden as much as your exposure to yard tool carburetors was late and limited. OTOH, people working on things need to know something about what they are doing before jumping in to do the work so the video is beneficial for some people. If and when they get good at it and fully understand what they are working on they might learn this model of carburetor provides a lot of lattitude for performance modification. The carb was designed by Walbro and their website provides a pictorial diagram of their various carburetor designs.
Is the large screw that this one is inset into also an adjustment? Can you tell me where the other adjustments are? Got a 58cc SYX moto with a similar carb and i can tell it needs more fuel
Gee it makes me cringe when I see these Chinese carburettors being used. They just copy the design using inferior materials and finish... Maybe it works but it is surely bound to fail at some point isnt it...
@yoska222Fair enough. I only use genuine walbro's on all my 2 stroke machines. They're usually set up correctly to suit the machine anyway, but they can be adjusted too if need be. The screw is just under a cap. I've never had to adjust them though
Same here. Always rebuild the original quality carb before buying a cheap crap one. I found a Shindaiwa T260 at the local dump that someone clearly tried to "fix" with the wrong Chinese carburetor. Unable to source an OEM carb for now, I bought a better fitting Chinese carb. It does run but when tuned to just 4 stroke at WOT, it seems very rich in the mid range and using too much fuel. Might have to lean out the low adjustment screw but then it gets real racey at idle. Idk, junk in, junk out.

Thank you and very much appreciated! After rather a lot of frustration I now working strimmer again.
Weird mine doesn't have an adjustable screw there.

Same here man
Keep richening it up till it starts.
Same, what did y’all figure out?
@@minibikeamigos i found its just easier to replace the carb , they are extremely cheap
@@TheRandomMechanic can you tell us what the settings are on the replacement carb?
Is there a high? Mine appears to be a small "D" adjustment tool.
I have the same carburator on my 49cc pocket bike is the a better one to install
aftermarket carbs are built at the same plants in some cases they are better
So... there's just one adjustment screw then ??? Not 3 ??? for
Low
High
LA
??
Well done .Thank you

Bro this work 💯 thanks
What’s the little redish tube on the right side of the carb? Next to the choke
Fuel line for the return side.
Bro. Thank you
Soooo cool!!!
Was the hidden screw for the idle mix ratio?
That’s the screw that secures the butterfly 🦋
