I LITERALLY LOVE YOU!!! THANK YOU! :))))))))))
I love you for planting these trees!
NICE
Hi
You both are BREATHTAKING!
BRUH
“When you say no, you are only saying no to one option.
When you say yes, you are saying no to every other option.
No is a decision.
Yes is a responsibility.
Be careful what (and who) you say yes to. It will shape your day, your career, your family, your life.“ - James Clear
Henrik When the comment is better than the video
Such a brilliant comment. Thanks
What if i say "yes" for to different options?
I love this quote! did you get this from his weekly newsletter?
Wisdom that leads to Salvation.
This man just did 5 uno reverse cards in one video, respect
Silent Rebel i just thought the same thing lol
?
@@ricecake1228 he basicly did quadruple-reverse psychology on us
the worst thing is having to make an excuse instead of just saying " i don't want to"
Just say no or I do not want to.
Or it is not my cup of tea.
@@user-ge2iy4ke7g its not that easy, you tend not to get anymore invites.
@@agee7777 There is no shortage
of nice people in this world.
I did not state my reason for
saying no or I do not want to.
I generally say this to people
who are toxic, or try to get me
to join a church group or club
when I have no interest to do
so whatever. Have a great day.
@@user-ge2iy4ke7g you talk about toxic people while being passive aggressive.
@@agee7777 Well that is how I feel.
It is my opinion which naturally
is not that of everybody. I feel
in life it is best not to waste time
with people who always tell
others what they should or
must do. Also I have some nice
friends and we do invite one
another. Have a nice evening
Adam and enjoy life.
Me: This is literally the only video in my sub feed right now that isn't about trees
Me 5 seconds later: Never mind lol
I also have 3 videos together about the trees. Crazy...
Yes!! Haha 😂
I have four, my dudes.
CozmicK G found 7 so far 😌🔫
Why so many people have this as display picture? Who is this guy?

It is simple to say NO, when you value your time. I understand it better now.
Exactly 😂😂
Well no... but actually yes
Ph k literally what I just said lol
The whole video is the real life version of that meme. “Well, no, but actually yes”.

I love the plant-based/vegetarian for 30 days idea! Matt, watch The Game Changers on Netflix. I worked on it - so shameless plug. I think you'll like it, though.
Aastha H I made a TH-cam video every day for 31 days ahh
I already quit fastfood for, well, permanently unless i'm kinda forced to eat it since im still eating what my parents serve me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
well played!
5:40 “I’m happy for you” sounded like Ross Geller “I’m fine”
Me: ROSS AND RACHEL WERE ON A BREAK
We were on a BREAK!
Hahahahah so accurate
This is a “yesno” in here
Also called a Jain in German
honestly, this was a genius idea to still go on with your projects and plans, but to also help out and take part in something really awesome

Doing 1 kind thing for a stranger every-day, and see how it makes you feel

This is so so cleverly done, natural story teller!
I love that 90% of Matt’s videos are filmed inside the walls of his own home. What’s your excuse not to create something?
That's right, you can start from your own things!
that's very inspiring if you think about it
huh.
Hey??? Are you looking in my window right now? Ok, ok. I'll go create something.😉

The art of saying no while actually saying yes
My new year's resolution is to start setting more boundaries. I need to learn to say no especially at work. I'm tired of being exhausted doing for others. I want to have time to take care of myself.
I feel like I just watched a 7 minute ad that spent it's entire time convincing me that it wasn't an ad. I'm convinced.
ideas for 30 day challenges
• painting / drawing
• yoga
• learning a new language
• listening to / reading a book everyday
No,no as a drawer myself drawing/painting isn't calming most of the time especially for beginners. Belive me.
One book a day? Beach ,thats is very complicated. I wish I could do that
quality over quantity for books. Books become useless if you just see them as goals to get through because you want to flex as an intellectual. Find genres you like and dig through the layers of meaning to find the author's message
Ge i can’t do it either lol it was just like something i thought of

he really just passive-aggressively attacked yes theory like that

Excitely what I was thinking hahahaha
It was quick way to help and at the same time say NO to bigger help. Good approach.
What is Yestheory
Two Matt D’avella videos in a week?
*Miracle.*
This was so timely. Thank you so much.
Needed this especially in the place I am right now in life.
I have to be honest...it’s hard to say no and this video really made me feel not guilty from steeping back and not allowing to give in to everything gets into my way. Thanks Matt
Me, when someone gives a good advice: "Eh"
Me, when other person cals it an ART: "Hellll yeeaaa, i'll mimick that behavior"
It is helpful to know where we want to be. To work on our goals not someone else.
Matt: *Makes vídeo about saying no*
YesTheory: Wait, that’s illegal
2:55 Was I literally the only one to see “Mark D’Avela” ?
I saw that too good catch
Dude I think it's double l.
Lol, it's his brother.

Your videos are so simple and deep at the same time! I admire your storytelling!
Boy do I need this video. Love love love it!
I would actually like to see the 24 hr in a tree 😂
This was so great! The art of saying no is vital especially for small biz owners. I have found that it is also helpful to convey boundaries to others and ourselves.
loved the way you tell people to go to teamtrees while saying dont go and doing a matt style video with quotes and acts that can change your life. good job.

is this reverse psychology reference?
it's fricking everywhere
"never break the rule" while breaking the rule. good video man
Matt in the opening of an episode named “I said no for 30 days” would be like “Saying no to the requests you receive and you don’t have time for them is a pretty difficult thing and that’s why for the upcoming 30 days, I will say no to one request each day”
It's the first ever video of u that I saw
and man u are amazing!!!
This video was brilliant, informative and funny at some times
Subscribed and liked it right away.
Saying no is DEFFINITY an honesty necessity.
When you say "no" but also yes (FOR THE TREES). This is so great...!
I'm going through some tough decisions lately, thanks for inspiring me to pull back and reset my path :-)
Love your videos Matt!!

I'm a substitute teacher who often ends up teaching "life lessons" and practical advice, moreso than the textbook or seat work that the regular teacher leaves behind.
Matt, I've recently stumbled across your channel and have to say that your advice, words of wisdom, and perspective on life are inspirational.
I've shown a few separate classes your videos and they seem to resonate with you. Thank you for the effort that you put into your videos. They push me to try harder every day!
Saying “No” to something recently dealing with friends was arguably very refreshing for me.
I am already failing since I said yes to watching this video while I have other priorities xD
Reverse psychology : exists
Matt: *YES*
I love what you did on this video. You found your own way to spread Jimmy's message.
"Matt, do you or do you not want to help the treas project?"
Matt: yes
Perfect timing. My roommate asks me to do everything with him and I spend practically every waking minute with him as it is. NO NO NO but he makes me feel guilty every time I say it -_-
Have you considered that your roommate is in love with you? 🤔😱
"No" is about boundries
You're teaching him how to treat you by not saying no , don't be a pushover
27otherside27 lol I really don’t think he is. I think he’s just very needy and can’t be alone
Gerardo I always say no. I said it 3 times yesterday for little things like going to the gym or getting a bite to eat. I always say no but it makes me feel quilty, which is what I’m getting at. I appreciate my time alone but when I tell him no he takes it personally and I get bad vibes
What a Timing! Just when I need this.
Thank You Matt!
This video was actually very helpful and it was uploaded at a time when I needed it most!
I love how you still advertised for him while proving an incredibly important point to us. I definitely needed to hear this today. Thanks!
this video was everything! so basically you said no but said yes! lmao I love it :)
Hi Matt! I just watched your documentary on Netflix and may I say it is absolutely amazing! Well-made and well-thought. Before coming across your videos I never, not once, considered minimalism. Now I have started changing things around thanks to you. Keep up the great work and thank you for doing so.
The part about spending way too much time researching/planning on a thing that actually doing matter to much to you at this present time... mannnnn *i felt that*
Briliant! I like how you said 'No' yet promoted his initiative. Well done!
0:14 "Get The Rock on my podcast" hahahaha
The spin you put on this... so clever! Love it!

You tell a rad story bro.
This is such a genius concept for a video. Eloquent incorporation of the topic you thought you couldn't present initially. Keep it up Matt!
This is the best video I've ever seen in the last three weeks! So much wisdom Matt. Ow is 2021 and this video was uploaded in 2019. Oh well, that's awesome too!

Such a smooth way to implement the tree challange, great idea!
I've been watching your videos since the beginning and... It's always, always amazing! Keep doing my day with your great content, please 😊 it's funny, smart and helpful. Cheers Matt :)

To say NO but spreading the word to your audience is close enough to a YES. Great guy.
Someone: Hi Matt hows it going?
Matt: No
I literally got this in my recommended right after having a full on internal rant at myself for agreeing to do something that I would get nothing out of doing.
Love the way you communicated the message. Win win all around.
Love how you put the message of great cause on your on way in your own style of video.
