    Wow, it finally works. Thank you so much. Don't understand how I didn't get your video at first. I spent 45 minutes trying to fix this problem. until I stumbled upon your video, than I spent 10 more minutes, and everything finally worked. Thank you so much!

    I thought my internet was going out when Netfabb started to not work for me a couple weeks ago or whenever it was. I typically use Cinema4D for 3D modeling, but I don't think it has any simple repair all holes tool. I guess it's finally time for me to try Fusion!

    There is also a preview option to add "Repair" to the Mesh>Prepare menu. So, you can build a mesh and then repair it as the end of your part of timeline. Select your account>preferences>preview features and turn on "Mesh Repair Analysis"

    you can use windows10 3d Builder no upload thingy but for big file it will take a while.
    not sure why lychee not interface with this instead of azure cloud.

    I always use 3D builder to fix my files. Its much easier and faster than Netfabb and, most importantly, does not have the 100mb limit.

    I subscribed to lychee specifically for that netfab repair, it was working well for me, and the new azure is not even finishing some of the works, just rolling indefinitely. I am displeased with that outcome.

    • @vogman
      @vogman  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't think Lychee had any choice. It was an agreement that's been withdrawn I believe. Azure seems pretty rubbish to me, and I'd delighted how fast the Fusion 360 fix works (I'd genuinely say maybe 5 times faster than waiting through Lychee). However Lychee are working on their own solution and in the meantime there's plenty of helpful suggestions listed by other viewers here. 😁

      @kriss667 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vogman I luckily got it at a discount price so not gonna bother doing a refund of a yearly sub. I still will be using it for supports and print layout because as a frequent CAD user I cannot stand chitubox's lack of localized gizmos and proper 3d navigation with axial locked movements. Their slicing tho I find better at chitu, produces smoother finish on my sonic mini 4k.

    I think GW needs to pivot hard to being more than just a "model" company in my opinion when you look at the quality of the prints.

  • @vinnycordeiro
    @vinnycordeiro 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Problem is: that doesn't work for Linux users, as Autodesk does not provide a version of Fusion 360 for this OS.
    Also, there's people who does not want to install a full CAD software just to correct mesh files once in a while. At least for these people there is Windows 3D Builder, which is a massively underrated program, but only available for Windows 10 users.
    Netfabb mesh correction being incorporated into Fusion 360 and no longer being a free service is just a typical Autodesk move. Unfortunately, unlike printed circuit board design programs, there are no real alternatives for mechanical design programs, FreeCAD is too far behind to be a real option.

    • @noviceartisan

      @@vogman Because it's not free if you want to use it for anything you sell. And by absorbing the NetFabb service into it, you can no longer use the repair function to fix your stl's without been bound to the same terms.
      They're also massive twatwaffles who constantly buy the competition out in their entirety, makign the market for any decent alternative very small. THen their's the issue of the ridiculous prices they charge for products, that they refuse to sell in any form othe rthan a shitty subscription basis etc etc etc They suck lol xD
