You can grow your own loofah sponges in the garden (Luffa aegyptiaca).
Buy a bottle of spray saline solution and wash your nose with it. Allergens attach to the inside of your nose causing the allergic reaction. So do it in the am and pm. Also use a nose spray like nasalcort. It also keeps allergens from attaching to your nose. Do it every day in allergy season. There’s also eye drops for allergies. And yes as someone suggested shower before bed to get the pollens off. Sadly no local bee honey does nothing for allergies. But it is tasty on toast and in tea ❤️
Ali my husband and I have allergy issues and find that taking a quick shower before bed is good to knock off any of the pollen we’ve picked up during the day and if we’re outside, we do a quick change of clothes when we come in and relax or sit on the couches, etc. It’s a little bit of a hassle but again, helps from those allergens getting stuck in soft furnishings that aren’t cleaned every single day
Common sense,how do people climb into a clean bed without showering the day away is beyond me! Mammies & Daddies my admiration to you with kids allergies running in/out all day

Just a thought I’ve seen a lot of people who have really bad allergies that you should sting yourself with a nettle every week!

Suffer from terrible hay fever as well Ali. Take one antihistamine each morning and another if I get too itchy. Also have antihistamine eye drops and nasal spray. Makes all the difference xx
How magical to have a weasel or stoat in your garden - I've only seen them in the wild. Imagine how much wildlife action happens overnight in your garden- would be great to set up a camera to see.
Ali, I suffered with Hay fever really bad last year. I read somewhere to take your antihistamine just before you go to bed and it will work better. I have to say it worked for me, so will keep doing it. Good luck and hope it improves.xx

Love the picture with the pheasant feather it is gorgeous. The curve on the headboard is really subtle but still eye catching.i really love those tiles in bathroom they work beautifully with that striking cabinet. What a lot of work you've done in the last couple of years. Maybe now you could find a beach house I'd love that and start all over again.
Flonase is a lifesaver! I use it in conjunction with Zyrtec.
You need bathroom basket organizers that are small enough to go in there and pull out. Bending over and digging for your stuff will get old fast. Especially putting them back and keeping them organized, just from an OCD person! Lol great job Ali, looks fabulous!
I just recently found out about a histamine overload in your body! I have the issues with allergies and hay fever! Ugh, it’s terrible! We have our own bees so I use honey but didn’t know about the histamine issue, researching it to see if it’s something that may be applicable to me.

You can go to an allergy specialist and get injections to slowly build your tolerance up. In a few years time your allergies should drastically improve.

When my hay fever is bad I use a nasal spray.
Freeze dried nettles capsules for allergies. In the US we would get them at Whole Foods. Or I’m sure you could get them online. Do they knock it out entirely, no, but they can certainly help to take the edge off when allergies are very bad. It’s what they used to use in the old days before antihistamines.

VisineA eye Allergy relief. This is for itchy eyes from allergies. Keeps you eyes from all the red and itching. It’s the white bottle with green and blue lettering. P.S. I keep the air condition on and windows closed during allergy time and shower before bed. If it gets bad sit in front of a fan it blows the allergy out of face.

I suffer badly with hayfever also, I’ve noticed the only antihistamine that works for me is loratidine, not citerizine and also I found a band called “hayband” which you wear on your elbow and it presses on your allergy pressure point - weirdly it actually worked on me which I was not expecting but wasn’t great in peak hayfever time for me which is July; I needed medication for sure.
Definitely change and shower when you get indoors to get rid of all pollen and the optrex hayfever eye drops are fab for itchy red eyes!
I eat fresh ginger for the hay fever but the trick is to eat lots each day I always take some with me just to nibble throughout the day but start the day with a thumb size and drink lots of water you will get used to it a way it’s better than suffering 👍

Greek remedy for irritated eyes:
Take some chamomile, not from tea bags or whatsoever, if you can find chamomile growing in meadows it would be perfect!
Be sure that the area around is clean and there are not farmers that use chemicals to their crop, there are no filthy things around anyway!
Pick some fresh chamomile, boil it for 3-4 minutes to make a strong chamomile tea
Leave it to cold a bit and then take buds of cotton (real cotton not that pressed cotton women use to take of their makeup)
Take a piece of cotton, dip it into the tea, push it a little with your fingers and place it to the irritated areas!
Chamomile has natural antibacterial properties and it can be used on eyes, wounds and especially we use it for open wounds inside the mouth!
It is the best thing to calm down the itching/redness on the eyes!
Ali, try the generic form of Allegra. They have the same ingredients and work better. I suffer from allergies too.

Oh I don't know...it could be fun seeing them fight over who is going to clear out the coop when it needs doing - lots of poo and pee matted in straw - delightful.
And they attract so much rats my partner was working in someone's house who had Chikens and every time the owner put food out wen they went loads rats would run out for the food he was watching in window yuk🤮
They aren't that much work actually I have chickens and they really aren't high maintenance, my cats are more high maintenance hell my husband is more high maintenance
A few are very simple. I wouldn’t put them super close to the house but they are and home eggs are so good.

I take cetirizine tablets for hay fever. If it gets really bad I take nasal sprays as well. Otravin is the one available in my country

Ali, the creature in your garden sounds like a stoat, they are reddish with a black tail. About the size of a squirrel. Weasels are a lot smaller & don’t have black tails 🐿

Hi Ali, my daughter has allergies and we did heavy metal testing and the results came back really bad. She is high in arsenic, nickel..etc. We are using zeolite for heavy metal detoxication and she is getting so much better. So I reccomend heavy metal testing and complete gut health map testing (bad bacteria overgrowth, calprotectin, leaky gut (zonulin), alpha1 antitrypsin). She also had Escerichia coli overgrowth, and we put her on special probiotics that killed bad bacteria overgrowth. Allergies come from toxicity in your body. It doesn’t matter if you are eating clean and healthy, you can still be full of toxins.

You seem to do everything are there no ends to your talents? For high tree work get a tree surgeon in, it is really not worth taking risks, they will also advise tree maintenance and pruning.

I actually like coming up with idea what I am going to cook for the week on Sunday, and I made a home kitchen menu with the foods we can make. And we shop according to what we planned and picked from our home menu.
