It’s rare the algorithm serves me up unsolicited seemingly out of nowhere new music. It’s so rare in fact for that to show up in my feed that I felt compelled to click on it. This band makes me miss playing in a band.
The mixing is amazing: The tapping guitar with the massive, thick-sounding bass shows great dedication from whoever produced it. Definetely adding you guys to my favorite bands. Thank you for the awesome experience.
Holy crap the algorithm worked. Had never heard of Like roses before and now I can't get this song out of my head. Amy has one of the cooler voices I've heard in a long time. Can't wait to catch them live!
I've been so into this band since I finally listened to this song (been on my watch later for a minute). But part of the appeal for my friend and I is that Amy sounds (sometimes) like Seann Bowe, a guy from the Milwaukee music scene (With Hours Waiting, Rescue, A West Way Home). No disrespect at all, you guys are awesome, I love it (vocals especially)! 🤘
I saw you guys in Des Moines Iowa opening for neck deep. I traveled all the way from Omaha granted. Not that far of a drive. Never heard of you before was an instant fan when you guys started playing the energy was absolutely amazing. I love what you guys do. I love music. I love the sound! Thank you for being there that night!
I was a bit nervous when I clicked on the thumbnail but was happily rewarded with a good tune. As a guy who was born in the early 80's and came of age in the 90's and fell into the punk scene it's refreshing seeing kids playing guitar driven music. Keep it up crew, you're doing fine!
I've been looking forward to this album to drop for months, tomorrow can't come soon enough! This is by far the best new music YT algorithm has ever sent my way🤘🤘
Man I was born in 97’ but that Rock in the late 90’s and early 2000’s was so good. Well it was when I was finally old enough to listen to it that is lol. Everything was great in that certain time period in the 2000’s especially R&B. T-Pain was a feature on every song you heard on the radio. Idk how to explain it, just a great time for music of all genres pretty much it seems.
this is what the internet was meant for. in the 90s maybe lived a great short life as a local band. but now the world can see how friggin fun this band is and float them higher
As a huge fan of the "singer-songwriter punk" style of music like the loved ones, the Lawrence arms, the menzingers, and Spanish love songs, this is food for my soul. Definitely gonna be diving in to their discography and showing support. Need to continue getting more music like this
I just discovered this band yesterday through the youtube suggestion. Got hooked by this song and instant checked all the songs out. Such an amazing underrated band. Keep up the good work and best wishes from India🤘
Such a good sounding band, every part of it. The vocalist kills with the grungy sound. Musician living abroad here. Used to teach music in the states. Live that dream for me, y'all got it 33 y.o. old school emo/scene/metal
I’ve been listening to this song and easy non stop since I found you guys on last week. This rocket ship this song has become is cool to see. Enjoy the ride. This must be a good feeling.
Just adding to the pile. The algorithm brought me here and I am SO GLAD! This is sooo good! I am 40 years old. Grew up listening to all the great as well as lesser known punk, post-hardcore, alternative, metal, nu-metal bands. (Thursday, Glassjaw, Deftones, Brand New, The Used, Tool, Taking Back Sunday etc etc) But I am not gonna try to compare Like Roses to anyone else. It's just awesome rock music! It's obvious they love great music and they create great music, and I am so thankful for it. Ok, going to share with my kids (ages 21 and 16) and my friends now!
grew up on 90's skate punk and transitioned into metal over the years. but, there's been a few rock bands that have snagged me over the years as some of the best music i've listened to. thank you scientist, pears, jeff rosenstock...and i think this is the next one. love it!
Keep up the great work, y'all are killing it. "We can pretend we're as happy as we thought we used to be." Love that line. Also the scream at the end. Would love to hear more of that. Definitely on my radar after hearing this.
this is so mid 2000s midwest emo. it took me back and it sent your music to so many of my friends because it is essentially a nostalgia time machine. You're an incredibly talented band and i look forward to seeing more from you.
rare instance of the algorithm being kind to the artist and the listener
I think it’s cuz I like Durry
Got sent this after listening to badflower@@bookdmb
Legit lmao needed music like this again lmao
I'm so glad this popped up on mine too!!!
this
Fresh, yet familiar. I want more please.
perfect way to describe when i found this. lol.
Feels like my teen years like 20yrs ago
@atlklx5168, totally agree mate. I would say it’s Motion City Soundtrack with female vocals
So glad this genre is still alive
the louder the better !
Thank fuck, a new band to listen to.
@@brent81756 And not one with just one album, or just started in 2023 ;) LOVE THIS!
Fuuuuuuuuck this just brought me back 15-20yrs. Really wish there was more to their catalog than a handful of songs.
Love it when TH-cam algorithm actually works out and shows me something cool. :D
same here, clicked on the off chance and for once it's a decent song
Same

A lot of Saves The Day vibes. It reminds me of the 2000's, well done !
Just thought this when I saw your comment 😂
Came here to say this. Reminds me of Through Being Cool, and that’s high praise.
With some bayside vibes too!
I thought the same thing! Saves the Day with side of math rock
Even has the drowning and suffocation themes.
The Drums is the power of this music. I stand up. In the same hour.
So energetic.
It’s rare the algorithm serves me up unsolicited seemingly out of nowhere new music. It’s so rare in fact for that to show up in my feed that I felt compelled to click on it.
This band makes me miss playing in a band.
Same.

The mixing is amazing: The tapping guitar with the massive, thick-sounding bass shows great dedication from whoever produced it.
Definetely adding you guys to my favorite bands.
Thank you for the awesome experience.
" I live with your hands around my throat, begging for anyone to feel like home"
sheeeeesh I felt that.
Woah. Realist shit in one line I've heard in... years.
This slaps tbh!

I really like this sound.. it's like I'm back in my teens again....🥲

It’s been like three years since I’ve been wowed by a band that’s new to me, so lucky to wake up and find this band. Down the rabbit hole I go!
Any albums?
Coughs… have you listened to sleep token

I can’t stop listening to this. Reminds me of punk rock in the early 2000s as a kid when things were good.

This was a nice random video to show up in my feed out of nowhere. Sounds like a more pop-punk Movements. I’m all for it.
I just discovered this band yesterday through the youtube suggestion. Got hooked by this song and instant checked all the songs out. Such an amazing underrated band. Keep up the good work and best wishes from India🤘

its a pop punk with grunge infuence. if they become a little more heavy its gonna work, female version of "basement" looks promising
So good

wow. amazing rec from youtube. What a great blend of old and new sound ;)
IMO it's a lot like Hot Mulligan + Minus the Bear + Bayside + it's own thing
Wicked!
Amazing song! World needs more smaller artists that actually care about their tunes!
Sweet mercy...those vocals are fire. This is exactly what I needed in my recommended list.
Like a modern day Swellers, love the track!
This is rockstar level. Keep up it guys.
