I like it when these little nuggets pop up on my recommend, I remember watching all these episodes every week. How so many lived on that boat at one time was pretty amazing.
Somewhere around here, between the Philipines and Chagos, was a special type of magic. I mean the before is great, the after has been great. But this swing is just so perfect, the perfect balance of newness and experience. I keep coming back to these. I can't imagine living with 6 other people on a boat that size, but you guys pulled it off for awhile. So freaking good.
100% agree with everything you said grakkerful. There was something in the air (not only Brian's.....) during that time. I love rewatching these episodes.
you know you got it bad when a half hour video seems short. great work guys. when you start getting burned out from editing, just know that we really appreciate the work you put in for our enjoyment.
Wow .. this brings back so many memories. You did India right ... stayed off the beaten path. Wonderful, polite, helpful, bureaucratic people. Awesome food! If 'island time' wasn't invented in India, India surely helped it along. It's well worth putting up with the BS bureaucracy to enjoy this beautiful country and it's people. I was in Chennai about 15 years ago and miss it so much. Thank you for sharing, you put a grin on my face for the entire video! Ladies .. you all look beautiful in your native garb. The thing I took away from this though is 'dick's out'!! What a sight that must have been .. Brian running down an Indian street after some cows with his manhood hanging out. Oh Lord Rama!!!
What amazes me is how well many of these people in all different countries speak English so well yet I jnow many americans who only speak English and no effort to learn others! Love these videos despite all the hassle the crew went through they kept good spirits and had fun.🙏
Colonized people. That is what that is about. The British came, and conquered them centuries ago, and ruled until the 1950s. English is the prestige language in India and elsewhere. But you're point is right, we in America kind of suck like that.
one of the best videos yet, guys! I prefer sailing footage but the friendly way you handle the challenging customs red tape and delt with everyone with great dignity is inspiring. that became one of my favorite episodes! thanks guys!
You guys have become so popular, after a few hours that you publish a video there's thousands of viewers. It seems that your fans out there are always on the lookout for the new clips. Good to know that I'm not the only one. Keep up your humor and happy sailing.
Brian, Karin, Brady, Josje, Babs, Max, Frida your all amazing.... "my old man says that nothing is impossible-straight from the crew out to the blue" right back to you. If you all could only know the images/thoughts & giddy-ness that song conjures up for us viewers. Thank you all, for the hard work you put into the recording, editing, music selection & giving all of us a front row to your 7yrs of adventure so far...count on beers coming & patreon support for your continued adventures. Looking forward to hearing who will be joining the Delos crew for the Reunion - Seychelles Indian Ocean voyage... fair winds & following seas my friends. Much Budda love!!!
+madwldgrp1 Hey thanks so much for your comment, it's really so great to know the love and passion we put into these is shining through :) Fair Winds and wishing you the best! Brian
Your video's just keep getting better all the time! Love the way you display the craziness of the world from Popping ping pong balls to No sat phones to Brian letting it all hang out!
Bryan and Brady and Max,after watching the girls try on saris I have decided apart from the envy of sailing you must be the luckiest men alive, they all looked divine Rupert.
One of the best sailing team in the world. Hats off captain..... You are incredible. Been watching your channel over a year by now..... Jaw dropping moment of the customs head that you sailed 7 years and he literally dropped his reading glasses..This happens only in movies. But seeing it in real .
23:19 That never gets old. I've watched this episode maybe 15 times. I laugh my ass off EVERY time! Catch the look of the guy Brian runs by, dude totally sees it and is like, wtf? The woman in the background who is laughing at them.
I love how you guys show all aspects of the cruising life. Some people might be put off by the government bureaucracy but when it's all done it's "almost" always worth it. India is very proud of their space/satellite launching program lol.
Yes, we can now launch satellites in the most economical way in the world. I think 2 years ago one of our rockets had a payload of 400, yes 400 satellites and we placed them all into orbit in their designated place. Yeah that's why the tuktuk was looking at you guys funny. Sure, I can take all of you.. I can take your cousins and their aunts as well.
23:15 that is one of those epic tales that remain in the books of sacred history for gens and gens to come lol!!: "Capt. Brian walking around in the streets of india, like a true god, swinging the membership all over... just chilling around, after paying the due honors and tributes to an extensive boureaucratic receivement ceremony by the local customs..." Lol, was too fun!
Can't wait for next update on India. I'm sure the tastes and smells of India are unlike the western world. This is surely a life experience that will not be forgotten.
Bravo! I stumbled on your channel about three weeks ago. I am not a sailer but have done some traveling myself. Been to India several times, so I can understand about the paper work. Great video, I like the production and the story. I just picked up a Gopro myself so like seeing it in use. Way to go Delos!
Awesome video guys! Better than anything on TV for sure. Can't believe you're going to turn around and head back East. Maybe by the time you do make it to the Caribbean I will have more than my C-22 and can come meet you.
Jezz crazy customs! We have many Indians living in the U.K. and I love the food. It's on my list of 'must do's' to go to India. Brilliant video as always chaps.
Nice Vid. Yall have more patience then I have, after the first day I would have hauled anchor and flipped the bird at them as I sailed away. The shopping reminded me of that Bolywood musical satire of Le Cage Aux Foux, it's called "Who'd Sari Now".
awsome, i think the different bureaucracy is part of the adventure. you never seem to have water issues, your water maker must be really good. keep it up be safe.
Deliciously sneaky with the hidden cameras. How many sailors can be jammed inside a tiny tuk-tuk? 7 if you're the Delos crew. What a crazy runaround to get into the country! The crew and Breeyawn especially showed immense patience in the face of all the red tape. A super video.
Hey Brian I enjoy watching your videos, yes you need to give that declaration that thoraya or iridiam phones if onboard are off and will not be used even merchant ships need to provide the same declaration if they are calling Indian ports
Awesome to see you guys in India, Really hard work of Indian officers for security purpose. Sorry guys for that. I hope you enjoyed there. Big fan of yours.
+Sailing Miss Lone Star I've suggested this before, but you guys, La Vagabonde, Cheeky Monkey and Delos should all meet somewhere in the middle of the ocean, tie your boats together and have a huge party. :D
That is some serious bureaucracy, I think what makes it easy for you guys, is that you have such a great attitude as you tackle the constant changes and requirements. it seemed the military guys were much easier to deal with, chill compared to the civilian officials. Looking forward to more videos. Cheers guys!
+Chris Campbell Yeah, the look on the officials face. He seemed stunned to think of these guys sailing on a boat across oceans for 7 years (although for what(?) two years Delos was dry docked, right?).
I gotta say, for as long as it took to get all the paperwork settled, everyone seemed pretty friendly and nice. It must have been a relief after hearing all the horror stories. "Is it all over my face?" Ohh boy can't wait until the next video. LOL!

I keep seeing all these Post-it notes up on the wall and I can't help but think there is a scrum Master on that boat somewhere. very similar to a kanban. who is it?
I like it when these little nuggets pop up on my recommend, I remember watching all these episodes every week. How so many lived on that boat at one time was pretty amazing.
That guy's reaction when he finds out you sailed from the USA. 7 years! Great Job Delos Crew!

The customs officer realizing how far Delos has been Captained by Brian and Brady was pretty wholesome.

All the DeLos girls are awesome but Babs just keeps me here to see her beauty from breath to soul.
"I talked to them for about 20 minutes, about their families...and America..."
Brady kills me.

Never a dull moment with you guys. You are the Kings of the Sea. Great job.
Because nothing says We love your country more than running down the street with your man handle flopping!! I was cracking up!! Awesome work!
Bryan and Brady and Max,after watching the girls try on saris I have decided apart from the envy of sailing you must be the luckiest men alive, they all looked divine Rupert.

When I wake up and see an SV Delos video in my box, I get irrationally happy. Keep up the good work.
This intro has always been my favorite. Not sure what it is about it but I have always loved it.
Brady: "That overall brings your eyes out."
Glorious.
+cosmos One of the many great Mr. Brady one-liners I love about my brother :) Brian

Another interesting and entertaining video, great tips and hints for future boaters especially on the entry and exit procedures.
Loved the edit and footage on this one guys. Can't wait to see what is next. Cheers!
Great insight into the "real" India. Bro-n-law is studying there and staying up on his Visa requirements is a PITA. Lots & lots of paperwork.
Wow you are bringing India right into my living room. The girls are looking great in their new threads. Can't wait for the next episode.
Thanks once again for a great video. Love your story. Fair winds
Smile and wave boys, just smile and wave. You can't do much about bureaucracy. Great episode guys.

That was a fantastic India.. You have all a wonderful journey.. Happy birthday Brian. Wish all the best in your life..
Too funny. We laughed as well. The guy with the tuk tuk looked at you like "of course I can take everybody. Is that all you got?"
That's right. There was room for at least two more in the back and two people are seated easily in front next to the driver.
"Your dick is out" - so is the coffee from my nose - I just scared my co-workers with my laughter :)
+Ed Selby He He He glad we could contribute to your morning :) Brian
+Sailing SV Delos LOFL that is hilarious!!
The Delos Crew cracks me up, every damn time. They have a way of making even the safety drills entertaining.
Excellent video! I can't believe it's been 7 years already. Keep up the great work and look forward to your next video. Take Care.

That is some serious bureaucracy, I think what makes it easy for you guys, is that you have such a great attitude as you tackle the constant changes and requirements. it seemed the military guys were much easier to deal with, chill compared to the civilian officials. +Rickard Westling Hey thanks Rickard! We're working on more so stay tuned :)
The British taught India everything it knows about beaucracy!
They were very good pupils !!!
Go to any former British colony and its the same.
I gotta say, for as long as it took to get all the paperwork settled, everyone seemed pretty friendly and nice. It must have been a relief after hearing all the horror stories.
"Is it all over my face?" Ohh boy can't wait until the next video. LOL!
Man you guys have blown up, 87k viewers, thats awesome, keep up the great work and great content coming. Dont forget us folks that found you years ago....
+Jack K Cheers Jack! We won't forget ~Brady
I really thought you would have more issues than that. The best part was his reaction when he heard you came from Seattle not Phuket
Great video guys, keep the good work....
Steve
Aboard Cascade of Hamble, Port Edgar, Scotland.
Wow, understand the bureaucracy of what you guys went through. Spent time in Nigeria and even the Nigerians, who I believe invented corruption, stated that India made them look like amateurs! Love the travel logs guys.

Thank you for sharing this.
If I remember right, you can actually shut off the GoPro's blinking red light...Somewhere in the settings. Sweet video, once again.
