That display alone is a huge dealbreaker for me. 1366x768 in 2022 is just plain bad. They should've put in an HD Display. If they'd leave out the LTE Connectivity, the difference in price wouldn't even be that bad and it'd make this notebook a lot more interesting.
@@InsurgeGamingThat’s a moot point though considering 1080p has been the standard now for awhile. You get 13, 14 and 15.6 inch laptops that have 1080p displays at a minimum. Hell, my ASUS G14 has a 2560x1600p 165hz screen, and that’s only a 14 inch device. 1366x768 is a perfect resolution for 14". 112 pixels per inch need no scaling and look good out of the box. Especially in linux, all the screen fonts can be used as they were meant. It may even be more power efficient than a higher resolution and hertz screen. And thanks to the chromebook community it is possible to use these fine quality computers with linux as well. Written on Devuan flavoured linux with alsa audio (community built kernel with CONFIG_SND_SOC_INTEL_SOF_DA7219_MAX98373_MACH option, simple but missing in mainstream kernels) in the 10th hour of the last battery charge. I don't know what Samsung were thinking with this product. They made a Chromebook that does nothing you'd expect a Chromebook to do, and the little it does do, it terribly. They've given it a 180° hinge, but no touchscreen... Pointless! They've given it a screen that is completely terrible even by 2016 standards, so media consumption is a horrible experience. Absolutely no thought went into the design of this Chromebook and it shows. £400 is frankly offensive.
I received a £60 voucher from a company (from another transaction) but it could only be spend with that company. I decided to buy this Chromebook Go (refurbished) for £130. Poor choice. Now that you can connect your phone data to the Chromebook, a SIM seems a pointless and expensive alternative. So, even this does not redeem this disappointing device.
