      Because no matter how many mutated animals that become bipedal, or no matter how many aliens come to earth or earthlings to go visit them, the stories are still told by humans.
      So all these different forms of life, will still use concepts that the current humans know about and think about.
      Eg, even in original Star Trek, advanced technology of over several hundred years, people were still using analog tapes and floppy discs. And once the CD came out, TV shows and movies used a smaller CD to make it seem higher tech.
      And finally, now that there are flash drives, people use a small flash drive, stick it in a computer, and suddenly that computer can do all sorts of things or that flash drive can store all the data from the computer, and it takes about 1 minute or two to get the data while the bad guys are banging on the door to get in.
      Another example I like to use is, Green Lantern's constructs that he makes. He's a man who has seen countless alien worlds and met countless alien beings, and the stuff he makes to help him fight are still just things like earthling weapons and stuff.
      So these stories are still just limited by man's imagination.

    What's most unfair though...is that you guys posted 📫 only the first episode here and not the entire series including episode 1.

    I have all these episodes on DVD now and i remember watching during the 1970's [i think 1974] and for Hanna-Barbera i thought well drawn as i am expecting "Flintstones" like animation. And the stories were better than the series too! Peace

      Cartoons of the old (1970s) days. Stiff animation, but stories were better than whats out now.

    • @mikecane
      @mikecane 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      1970s was the Dark Ages of American animation. Networks told them, "Make it cheaper! Cheaper!!" That went out the window when ratings plumetted and they had to try live action; Shazam, Space Academy, etc. The only ones making live-action that looked expensive were the Krofft brothers.

    the backgrounds and characters look pretty good, but it's barely animated... so, is it still considered 'animation' or a storybook?

      Chuck McCann called it "illustrated radio." Which is a bit of a slap in the face to Old Time Radio, which moved at 10x this speed!

    Cartoons of the 1970's were bad but some of them were enjoyable this was interesting to see how bad it could be.
    Return to the Planet of the Apes had good ideas but was executed badly I wish they would reboot this cartoon and start off with the Icarus mission from the recent movies.

    I wonder how much Ted Knight got paid for saying, "Return to the Planet of the Apes"? He was already a big TV star at this time, so I assume he must have got paid pretty good for 5 seconds of work.
