  • This week we travel to Buenos Aires with the stunning Ana Isabelle, who brought more than a touch of star quality to our 2017 production of Evita.

I said this on your DCFMA clip.
I have to say having watched this clip as well as DCFM. ARGENTINA and your STUNNING opening, I am absolutely thrilled & excited by your company's production of this show.
Ive seen the show many, many times over the years both professional production as well as amateur and I have to say this is one of the most innovative and exciting interpretations ive seen EVER! So fresh & energetic and have I said artistically creative already? :-)
I would have loved to have seen it in the flesh so to speak. As I'm based in the UK we obviously don't hear about EVERY production in the world. I would pay good money to see this production tour or transfer over here.
Congratulations to both cast, creatives and production team on this production.
    Just STUN-NING!

She is an absolute knockout, wish I could have seen this! Is the Che interjection in the original version? I don't remember it, but I think it adds a really striking social commentary in what is usually just a big fun dance number.

      Che is in the original.
I always wished he was not called Che because the reference to Che Guevara is obvious. And Che was a horrible.character in history himself, a cold murderer in the highest, an assassin, a thief, a villain. If the creators of Evita wanted a foil for Eva, I wish they had chosen an anonymous person instead.
This is a good show, but I always felt irritated that this character was called Che.

@@honeyjbc1 It's because in Argentina we call everyone "Che", it's like a combination of "dude"/"hey". I always thought the character was supposed to be an everyday man. (Sorry for the mistakes, english is not my first language)

@@andreafraguglia2109 Tim Rice conceived him as Che the everyday man , it was the shows original director who turned him into Che Guevara, which is how he stayed up until the film with Madonna. In the UK revival he was then changed back into just being Che the everyday man.and this is how he has remained in most professional productions since. :-)

GREAT PERFORMER AND SINGER, SHES VERY TALENTED.
ON THE OTHER HAND I MUST SAY THAT THE PHYSIQUE DU ROLE IS NOT RIGHT AT ALL.
BY THE FIRST MID OF THE 20TH CENTURY ARGENTINA, SPECIALLY BUENOS AIRES AND THE SURROUNDINGS, ONLY HAD EUROPEAN DESCENDANTS, SPECIALLY, ITALIAN, GERMAN, AND ENGLISH, BLENDING WITH THE SPANIARDS, WHO ARRIVED EARLY.
SO HER LOOK IS MORE OF A CARIBBEAN GIRL, WHICH HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE REAL ARGENTINIAN ETHNICITY.
THAT'S WHY, SPECIALLY IN THOSE DAYS, ARGENTINA WAS CONSIDERED THE MOST EUROPEAN COUNTRY IN AMERICA.

      That’s a ridiculous assumption and a myth.
Buenos Aires had a HUGE BLACK population until they were genocided by their government. There’s even a national holiday for a Black Argentine independence hero - that I cannot recall the name of unfortunately.
Also, if you go to Buenos Aires, a LOT of people look like typical mestizos.. even ask actual argentines, they will say a lot of it has been exaggerated.
And go to the north of Argentina and you will find a LOT of indigenous/mestizo looking Argentines.
I have an aunt who looks a lot like Eva lmfao, and we are Salvadorans. Granted, we do come from northern El Salvador which is full of white descendants , but on my DNA test I am a typical mestizo despite looking very blanca.

WELL, IT SEEMS THAT YOU DIDNT READ MY POST VERY WELL.
I SAID BY THE TIME EVITA LIVED THERE WERE NO BLACK POPULATION IN BUENOS AIRES.
SO YOU BETTER LEARN TO READ BEFORE ARGUING.@@user-oj7bn5fq4m
