Tom too. He lost his uncle, aunt, his mentor Tony Stark, who was like a father to him. And his girlfriend and best friend forgot about him. But I get why people feel Andrew has the saddest.
@@yigitarasogdem2998 Tom had the worst, but Andrew had the most emotional one. Tom felt like nothing. Maybe because of the mid acting. Andrews acting and portrayal was beautiful

Yep. And technically, any catch from that height would be the equivalent of still falling on the ground. So I'm glad he slowed her down or else it wouldn't matter 🥲
This is actually one of the most emotional scenes in the entire history of the MCU. The look on AG's face just crushes your heart. This was a brilliant edit. Well done.

@@hannahebywell I mean it's a movie about a nigga who got powers from a radioactive spider bite. I think we can kindve given realism a pass on this one
Yes Andrew said that he was trying to portray the idea, "I think I just saved you, I think I did. And I need you to tell me that I did. Because I'm not seeing you in my arms right now, I'm seeing Gwen not breathing in my arms right now." So when Zendaya improvised the, "Are you ok?" It brought it full circle. As Andrew stated, "You kind of feel Gwen's hand on Peter's back a little bit going, 'You can rest now'. There's that cosmic thing that happens."'
THE WAY ANDREW ASKED IF SHE’s OKAY, THE WAY HIS EYES SLOWLY ROLLED AND GOT TEARY! WORTHY OF AN OSCAR! YOU FEEL EVERY BIT OF SATISFACTION AND SADNESS ALL IN AT THE SAME DAMN TIME 🥺🥺
I remember how I screamed when she fell and the callback happened, I started crying with my friend and we were holding hands and just praying she didn’t die. When Tom missed her the entire theater went silent, and then Andrew jumped, I screamed “not again!” Before he caught her before using his webs to save them. When they touched down the entire room was alight with applause and crying. And I had never felt so much emotionally over a movie until that scene.
I don't know why but Andrew's TASM 2 really moved me in a way no other comic or even action romantic movie ever has. When Gwen died, and he mourned, I literally felt as if I was mourning too. To the point that I phoned my gf in tears. Haha. When this scene happened, it was just seeing the brilliant acting yet again but reliving the feelings of his mourning.
@@SegularRpork really? I don’t think anyone in these comments realized that except for you! Thank you for that insight I really thought spider man and the multiverse was real
He replayed the moment of Gwen dieing over and over in his head, thinking of ways of how he could have saved her. He saved her, in another universe. Honestly tragic, Andrew Garfield was my favorite Spider-Man
This is such a clever scene. Even though the Amazing Spider-Man movies weren't the best, everyone loves Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man and really feels like he's owed some redemption. Amazing way to tie everything together.
I didn't like the AG Spiderman movies originally but they have really grown on me. I don't think I will ever like Tom Holland though. He is more of a Spiderboy. This last movie was only tolerable due to TM and AG making an appearance. Spiderman has always been my favorite hero. 2nd to Hulk. I grew up reading my dad's old comics.
He’s my favorite spider man personally. Wish the movies would’ve been better. Don’t get me wrong I more or less somewhat still like them but they evidently are by far the worst movies in terms of plot and just general movie quality and it’s not even close. The acting is the saving grace for them tbh
The fact that he was immediately thinking about his past and we were all on the same page. Then seeing him cry in that scene making sure she is okay. That was my breaking point :,) 💔
@@jaesmorgho7719 which ones? I've watched them all except this one and what I don't understand is what did he change in this instance that was different from when he went to save gwen
@@exscorpiargaming3743 Nothing really. He was just determined to catch MJ in time and it so happened that he was just in time…..while Gwen wasn’t so fortunate.
Imagine how many times Peter had re-run that scenario in his head, imagining what he could have done differently to save Gwen. When he executed that move, it was with perfect form, like he'd seen it in his head a thousand times. And he's so happy he saved MJ, but he's also hit with that wave of sadness, because he realizes that if he'd caught Gwen and webbed the building to slow *himself* down, he could have saved her, too. So even in this moment where he does something wonderful, he can't stop beating himself up for not saving Gwen.
I agree with that, but I haven't seen his movies, so I'm not sure, but could he have have even reached Gwen before she hit the ground? Like, he's obviously thought about it, and it paid off here because he had time to get himself to MJ first, but could he have even gotten to Gwen in time with this move? If she was closer to the ground to begin with and he was farther away, she'd still have died no matter what he did.
@IzzyKawaiichi If you notice in the first one he launches himself and tries to reach her off pure leg pushoff alone. But you'll notice he webs to slingshot himself forward the initial time, and webs debri to propel himself faster and reach her physically this time.
@@DestinySeal I know. But would it have made a difference with Gwen? He still might not have made it to her before she hit the ground depending on the distances.
@@IzzyKawaiichi I believe that it Definitely would have, but I can see where ur coming from cause original movie slow motion makes it hard to tell how much time he really had.
This is number one of the top three of Marvels saddest scenes....i don't think there was a dry eye in any theater during this emotion and action filled movie. The sadness in his face and voice as he reflects on finally dealing with his failure of saving his Gwen ...getting the chance to get it right and atone for that shortcoming was painful but everyone was in their feelings for Peter/Andrew . He finally got closure. Sad
You could tell from the acting that Andrew's Spider-Man refused to let it happen again; and the guilt and sadness from Gwen set in when he realized everything was alright.
Im a nearly 40 year old man .. My relationship with Spidey started over 30 years .. I dont normally cry at these kind of scenes .. But the acting in this scene puts me directly in the moment .. and i felt his pain, i felt his redemption .. i felt every emotion he must have gone through .. This video with the additions to why it was important and the music .. caused me another set of blurry eyes .. well done
You can just see the mixture of emotions he’s going through when they land. He doesn’t say a word until MJ asks if he’s ok. It’s almost as if he’s saying to himself, “I got it right this time!” TH’s Spider-Man never really had the angsts like AG’s or TM’s did. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to pick a favorite but in that scene by itself AG is my favorite Spider-Man.
Euhmmm. Like not to ne rude, TH’s literally died, and after lost tony stars who was more Like a father. And just to spice it up😂, his aunt dying, and him set alone at the end, i think they tried to render everything equal 😂😂
I remember watching this in the theaters and when it panned over to Andrew catching her the entire theater stood up and started clapping. Was a really cool moment.
I genuinely bawled my fucking eyes out at this scene when I saw it in theatres. It hurt watching it in The Amazing Spider-Man and it made me so solemnly happy when he finally got to “fix his past”
Gwen/Peter scene is the beautifulest scene ever through all action super-hero movies. When I see and realize this reference in Tom Holland movie, my heart just skip some beats... Then some tears are felt down with Andrew when his Peter finally did it and close up this story.... Sorry for my eng) Сцена с Гвен на мой взгляд вообще самая красивая сцена среди всех фильмов по комиксам. Красивая отсылка и красивая точка в этой истории в последнем фильме. Молодцы, что так сделали.
Andrew couldn't save Gwen so he saved M.J. the way he wished he could have saved Gwen. This scene is so heart melting and yet so heart warming at the same time. You can tell he misses her and loves her so very much. The sigh of relief and how he releases his breath when M.J. says it all.
This movie hit harder than all of them. Even harder than Endgame. Not only did Peter make everyone forget him, but he had to watch everyone be happy without him. And on top of that, he didn’t tell MJ who he was, even when he could’ve, just so she would stay happy.
Hits extra hard when you realize the pain. When you've felt it. Making sure someone else doesn't have to suffer the same way you did. Making sure someone doesn't lose what he lost
This made me tear up 🥹 Andrew's Spiderman was my favorite and the ending to his love story is just tragic. I loved that they gave him a redemption arc in "No Way Home." It's beautiful.
It’s not redemption because Gwen is still dead. He just saved another Peter of not suffering the loss of the woman you love. If anything it’ll boost his confidence but when he went back to his universe the loss is there.
@@benitoluera8467 Bro that's not what "redemption" means. Redemption isn't about undoing the past. It's about learning from it and doing better the next time around.

The way Andrew is able to just really become a character not just ACT but become them is so amazing. I felt the pain in his soul and the emotion he was holding in that scene. It gets me every single time.
His emotions is so deep and we feel it so hardcore. His story is so heartbreaking 💔 of all of them. I almost broke at this part at his expressions here while also crying 😢
This scene still gets me everytime. 😢 I'm glad he got his redemption, had goosebumps in the theaters, screaming save her! Never will forget the moment.
I think in this scene, Gwen was proudest of her Peter for saving another from the fall. It sparking his heart to finally lessen his guilt. Not get rid of it. But lessen it enough for him to start healing.
This is why the story of Spiderman can be re-done over and over and over again and always be good. He has one of the saddest yet richest storylines no matter what storyline the films follow. I've never been disappointed by a spiderman film, I cant say the same for other superheroes.
Andrew is such a powerful actor, def the strongest of the three, its a absolute shame he didnt get more movies as spiderman - all the peters lost all their loved ones, thats canon, but his acting is so powerful that Gwens loss hits the hardest

At least she wasn't having Osborne's twins like the comic
@@Tony.Dreamer that was a dream

It's the way gwen didn't even scream, it's like she's accepting her fate😢 broke my heart
In reality she wouldnt have time to scream or have that many expressions but we like our movies to be dramatic

Eu sempre me emociono quando vejo essa cena ! Da pra sentir a tristeza dele 😢❤
One of the saddest moments knowing that he couldn’t save someone he loved and wouldn’t allow it to happen to again
Fun fact: Zendaya’s “are you okay?” was improvised. Makes this 10x better 😭😭😭❤️❤️
Yes Andrew said that he was trying to portray the idea, "I think I just saved you, I think I did. And I need you to tell me that I did. Because I'm not seeing you in my arms right now, I'm seeing Gwen not breathing in my arms right now."
So when Zendaya improvised the, "Are you ok?" It brought it full circle.
As Andrew stated, "You kind of feel Gwen's hand on Peter's back a little bit going, 'You can rest now'. There's that cosmic thing that happens."'
😭😭😭

THE WAY ANDREW ASKED IF SHE’s OKAY, THE WAY HIS EYES SLOWLY ROLLED AND GOT TEARY! WORTHY OF AN OSCAR! YOU FEEL EVERY BIT OF SATISFACTION AND SADNESS ALL IN AT THE SAME DAMN TIME 🥺🥺
Andrew Garfield is extremely underrated. He's done quite a few "Oscar worthy"(in my opinion) performances since then

@NickoBaggins I didn't know she did that! And you're right, it makes the moment perfect. She's so awesome!
Garfield did so well in this movie, just shows what he can do with a good script.
What's the tittle please
He is an amazing actor , the range of emotions he has shown in this scene is beyond good acting
watch hacksaw ridge andrew is amazing in it
The three of them worked great together.. how they brought pieces of themselves in their own worlds into this current world was awesome
Whenever a man is in a tear jerker moment, and he attempts to resist his tears, it normally makes the audience cry. Definitely works here.
Lol
It’s cinema, it’s not real

My favorite Spider-Man. Period. He carried the pain and lived with it only wanting to be better one day.

this scene hits hard and these words cut deep deeper than any blade
This is such a clever scene. Even though the Amazing Spider-Man movies weren't the best, everyone loves Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man and really feels like he's owed some redemption.
Amazing way to tie everything together.
I didn't like the AG Spiderman movies originally but they have really grown on me.
I don't think I will ever like Tom Holland though. He is more of a Spiderboy. This last movie was only tolerable due to TM and AG making an appearance.
Spiderman has always been my favorite hero. 2nd to Hulk. I grew up reading my dad's old comics.
Lmao, I'm sorry, but everyone does not love his movies, unfortunately.
Nobody said they love the andrew garfield movies, just that they love his version of spiderman my guy.
He’s my favorite spider man personally. Wish the movies would’ve been better. Don’t get me wrong I more or less somewhat still like them but they evidently are by far the worst movies in terms of plot and just general movie quality and it’s not even close. The acting is the saving grace for them tbh
every one needs his redemption at some point
The fact that he was immediately thinking about his past and we were all on the same page. Then seeing him cry in that scene making sure she is okay. That was my breaking point :,) 💔
So wait a minute, what was different this time? What changed for him to be able to catch her this time?
You have to watch the Spiderman movies before this one to better understand what's actually going on.
Wow, beautifully said 🥲
@IzzyKawaiichi If you notice in the first one he launches himself and tries to reach her off pure leg pushoff alone.
They really knocked it out of the park with this scene…the whole movie honestly. Just terrific

Я тоже был самой грустной частью этого
i mean that was a hell of a scene.
Sad
It's his acting for me. You see the pain in his face from the memory. Legend actor
As soon as he said; "Are you okay?" in that broken voice I burst into tears.
You could tell from the acting that Andrew's Spider-Man refused to let it happen again; and the guilt and sadness from Gwen set in when he realized everything was alright.
I dont know why, but the way he asks "are you okay" with the facial expressions hits hard😢
The amount of grief of being reminded of Gwen and genuine fear in his eyes of being too late when he caught MJ.

We cried and cheered seeing Andrew's spiderman caught MJ finally 😭🥺💖 his expression and acting is so spot on for someone that lost his MJ 😭
Andrew couldn't save Gwen so he saved M.J. the way he wished he could have saved Gwen. This scene is so heart melting and yet so heart warming at the same time. You can tell he misses her and loves her so very much. The sigh of relief and how he releases his breath when M.J. says it all.
Not gonna lie I get goosebumps every time I watch this scene Andrew Garfield is so underrated.
This movie hit harder than all of them. Even harder than Endgame. Not only did Peter make everyone forget him, but he had to watch everyone be happy without him. And on top of that, he didn’t tell MJ who he was, even when he could’ve, just so she would stay happy.
The way I started bawling in the cinema 😭 He needed that, bless him.
is there any hope
Hits extra hard when you realize the pain. When you've felt it. Making sure someone else doesn't have to suffer the same way you did. Making sure someone doesn't lose what he lost
This made me tear up 🥹
Andrew's Spiderman was my favorite and the ending to his love story is just tragic. I loved that they gave him a redemption arc in "No Way Home." It's beautiful.
Same here...I resonate more with AG spiderman than all the other two
That redemption for him was very well deserved and I'm so glad he got it!!!

I think in this scene, Gwen was proudest of her Peter for saving another from the fall. It sparking his heart to finally lessen his guilt. Not get rid of it. But lessen it enough for him to start healing.
Literally one of the most powerful scenes from a superhero movie. Doing this and bringing this redemption arc back for him was instant tears.
