I never knew donkeys had such a horrendous life in Ireland. Although the USA rounds up and sends our wild horses and burros to Mexico for slaughter, just to feed mostly Japans insatiable appetite for them. This whole world just makes me so sad when I see the hideous tortures humans dream up for all of gods creatures. If you ask me the world would be a better place without humans.
UK dog rescue adoptions are very frequently poor dogs rescued from Ireland ...... . donkeys probably the the same sadly

Going to pet food is better than being neglected or miss-treated. They are prey animals in the wild, cats and dogs eating them from a supermarket tin is not a million miles from the natural way of things. Horses and donkeys should be more prominent in the menus of English speaking countries, if it is OK to enjoy delicious veal and lamb why be sentimental over horses and donkeys? I’d love to try foal meat.

There’s about 4 donkeys and 4 horses in a pasture behind my house. There’s one donkey I call cuddle bug. He lets me kiss him on the nose and pet him. He’s a bit jealous if the others come over to me. I love to hear them-bray out in the field.

@@2hedz77 I'm no expert but it has something to do with the biological cycle that the mother goes through while pregnant. I'm pretty sure this is rare, as I hardly hear of a baby being carried for too long. Probably worth looking into.
@@2hedz77 I had a horse reject her colt and almost kick him to death because I put a halter on him. He was almost 5 months old at the time and up until then she was a very good mother. It took about a week after I removed the halter and got him started recovering before she would even let him nurse. Animals will reject their young almost as much as humans over stupid shit.
From time to time, people say we need this or that genius person to fix the world. Actually, with you guys living in this world, you can be a perfect model to anyone on the earth. You have kindness, understanding, wisdom, patience and compassion. No words see enough to thank you.

Cute and SMART - that's why they are so stubborn and slow. They won't cooperate unless they feel safe and loved by the owner. So cute!
Animals are so Very important !!!! They truly are the Salt of the Earth, Mankind has come a long way over the years, in how much better they treat our animals !!! I know i would do anything to make sure they are Fed Right, and Loved !!! Keep in mind this does not apply to Rattle Snakes !!! NIX to Them !!!! When i lived in AZ i was forced to kill 1 Rattler a Month, I didn't like having to do that But, i had Young kids that Played out in the Yard, and i had to keep them Safe !!! During the summer Months is when they would come out, so about 4 Months out of the year !!!
These stories fill me with hope for humanity. Humans that don't care about owning the next iPhone or iPad, they just love animals from the kindness of their hearts. It's very heart warming to know that people like this exist.

That is great that these donkeys are being adopted. Few people would bother and it is disturbing that people can turn away from the animals that they are supposed to be responsible for.
There is a group in Israel that also rescue donkeys and horses. In that region donkeys and horses are treated horribly by certain people groups. Animals are nothing to them and being cruel to them is expected. The owners of that rescue have gone to very dangerous areas to rescue those animals.
I hope these people will be helped with their mission to help donkeys.

Few men want to give of their time and money to help an animal that is probably going to only continue to cost them more money and work. I guess it has to do with what kind of a heart is inside the person.

I belong to a Club that Takes Care of Tigers, i volunteer my time, anytime i want to go it's always open, i build heavy duty Fences, i do a lot of welding, which saves them a lot of Money !!! And i can get Deals on material, from different Suppliers, plus i give them a Donation every Month !!! So yea it is a Good Feeling to give Something back to Nature !!! Tigers are also Amazing !!!
