I have a 2003 International box truck that comes with two batteries, the light in the cabin stayed on for 3days and drained my battery. I want to Uninstall the batteries to recharge at auto zone. Following your demonstration, do I first remove the negative before the positive and when reinstalling, do the oposite?

Hi - Thanks for watching! The negative battery cable is first off and last on. We suggest that you check with the vehicle's owner's manual or a service/repair manual for the vehicle to see if a memory saver is required before disconnecting the battery(s).

Why do i remove the negative first?

Thank you for watching. By removing the negative first when you go to remove the positive or the hold down bracket and touch metal with your wrench you wont short it out.
