Wild Camping Ethos 🏔️ Camp above the highest fell wall, well away from towns, villages and lake shores. 🗑️Leave no litter - this includes not burying any litter and removing other people's if you find it. ❌ Don't light any fires, even if there is evidence that fires might have been lit. ⏳Stay for only one night. 🏕️ Keep groups very small - only one or two tents. 👀 Camp as unobtrusively as possible with inconspicuous tents which blend in. 🌿 Leave the campsite as you would want to find it. 🎒Carry out everything you carried in. 👝Carry out tampons and sanitary towels. Burying them doesn't work as animals dig them up again. 🌾Choose a dry pitch rather than digging drainage ditches around a tent or moving boulders. 🕳️ Perform toilet duties at least 30 metres from water and bury the results with a trowel. 🐑 At all times, help protect the environment and respect other visitors and communities. ✌🏼Wherever you pitch, please remember that the landowners or their representatives have the legal right to order you to break camp and move on. Writing from Northern California. Living in a culture where being an obnoxious loudmouth is somehow considered admirable, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your gentle, soft spoken voice. It's rarer than gold, and even more beautiful.
I can't tell you how much that means for those of us quiet folk who get told we're "too quiet" our whole lifes! Being quiet was always seen as a negative at school, college and in the workplace. You need to speak louder... Be more outgoing... Put yourself out there more... Be chattier... What's wrong with you... So thank you, it's rare to have quietness appreciated 🙏🏼
I find strength, courage and peace watching your videos. Your choice in music, the scenery, editing and how you look at life , nature and yourself is absolutely inspiring and beautiful. I'm originally from whiston England but moved to alberta Canada when I was 6 years old and been living here ever since. All last week we had lots of rain and cold winds but that didn't stop me from going out mountain biking and hiking. Unfortunately I ended up getting pneumonia. I've been slowly recovering which is lovely. Just wanted to take time to say thank you for your amazing videos and for the inspiration to find the strength within myself.
I envy the solitude you enjoy. I too love my own company (with my dog of course) as well as being with family, but it's nice to be with your own thoughts in peace surrounded by nature. Another brilliantly edited video Chloe, thank you for sharing 🥰 Good to see Cam at the end 🐶
I hear you , far too many people worried about me When I’m out in my perfect solitude. I’ve come to realise that it’s their issue, not mine. Your films are outstanding ❤ thank you
The sequence at 09:40. Is epic , surpasses Braveheart 🎥, i dearly hope you have the full backing and or sponsorship from the lake district tourist board. Columbia gear will be the first of many ❤ happy trails 👣, leave only footprints
Your words at the beginning really resonated with me, I have spent many years fishing alone but I have always found comfort in that. Urban areas make me feel so much more secluded and lonely than nature ever could. Great videos, keep up the good work

Honesty is amazing, everything is photography, music, everything, everything is beauty and calm. You are a very superior director... We had fun with this video👍👍
The beautiful scenery, messages and music bring so much peace and calm to my heart. And did I mention your oh so gentle voice. Thank you for shining a little light in this world Chloe, thank you. This world needs more of you!
Thanks for sharing your adventures, I feel captured by your choreographic videos, music, scenery and narration that's all been put together so well, beautiful, therapeutic and they make my world stand still. Being alone, and finding solitude is a beautiful gift ⛺️

Another amazing video that showcases the beautiful lakes in all their majestic splendour. Outstanding video combined with the atmospheric audio is a pleasure to watch. Brilliant, keep them coming!
Amazing as always. I watch a lot of wild camping videos but these are my favorite. The way you film the Lake District is exactly how I see it in my minds eye. Your videos inspired me to wild camp for the first time this year and I’ve been up almost every weekend since my first time back in May. Keep up the good work! P.S please have the pooch in the next episode!
Thanks so much for your kind 'super thanks'! That's really great to hear you've tried it for the first time and now you're getting out so regularly! It's a really special experience isn't it. Aw, yes, it's been so hot up here with the heatwave but I'll try to have him in the next one 🐕 Thanks again 🙏🏼

Your content and tone is amazing and inspirational! Keep doing what you do, proper Sunday night material. Thank you 😊
As a Cumbrian born and bred man in his 30s. I'm slightly ashamed that I'm only just starting to wild camp/hike at my age. These videos are helping me greatly. Thanks
@FablesandFells I think Tolkien, Lewis, and Carol would have got you to make their videos to promote their books, if they were about today. The music and picturesque views. You have a talent. Thank you
Great film! Whenever I visit or watch the Lake District I can’t help but wonder how much more beautiful it would be without the ‘white plague’ (sheep). Imagine those vistas with the forested lower slopes that should be there! Nice work!

You are lighting a fire inside me get to the lakes as I haven't been for at least 8 years. You truly are a stunning film maker and storyteller. Thank you for sharing ❤

@FablesandFells I enjoy losing myself in your videos but you definitely can't beat the real thing. I am in the south, so its quite a trek and I know that's a feeble excuse 🤣 but I will get there especially now I have my campervan. You clearly have an amazing talent and an eye for an image.
@@ItsMe-wf6kz ahh we used to drive up from the Cornish border when we started doing the Wainwright's and Ryan still drives up from the Devon coast every weekend so definitely no excuse 😄 Saying that, I'm not a fan of driving but once you're out there it's worth it!

I've not tried wild camping but it strikes me looking at these beautiful images that it allows you to see familiar sights with different lighting, bathed in sunset and sunrise. The Ill Bell ridge here is one of my favourites but I've never seen it like this, especially that stunning mountain view looking north towards Thornthwaite Crag with the sun rising over High Street. You've inspired me to start looking around for a backpacking tent!
Excellent drone footage, really good production. Content is just right. I would love to hear you read some Lakeland poetry, you have the voice for it. In any case total magic from you, bravo 👏👏
I have watched lots of channels of wild camping and walking on the hills, fells and moors of the UK and I have to say that your channel is my favourite. The effort you must put in with getting the video just right must be enormous. Thanks for the inspirational video and I look forward to your next one.
