If you only want to take out the keyboard there is one screw to remove under the RAM door marked with a keyboard sign. Use a thin screwdriver to push out the keyboard where the screw was and don't worry the tip of the screwdriver is pushing against the screw boss. Hey! Thanks a lot for the video, great explanation. Quick question: when you take off the panel with the keyboard and turn it around, there's a transparent protector (?) around the vent opening on the right, with cross-like cuts (for cpu and something else?) You can see it on 7:05-7:08. I wonder if it's safe to remove the protector or whatever that is? It has sticky parts to attach to the panel, and I've got plenty of dust there over time, which looks untidy and is a bit annoying. This thing doesn't seem to be holding anything in place or have any function at all. What do you think?
Right! It seemed an odd design so I thought it wasn't that important. Did my best with a toothbrush - though not perfect because of the glue, it is a lot better now. Thanks for responding to all queries 😊

Use a toothbrush to clean it up. Don't remove it or all that stuff will be going in the fan instead of getting caught there.
Right! It seemed an odd design so I thought it wasn't that important. Did my best with a toothbrush - though not perfect because of the glue, it is a lot better now. Thanks for responding to all queries 😊
