It really is! Sadly this road is currently undergoing repairs from rains and landslides we had this spring, so it might be a while before I can do this drive again.
I noticed recently how much of a difference it makes to have the tires properly inflated... sure makes it easier to turn at slow speed! Otherwise I don't mind the manual steering, it feels tight and has great feedback.
Yes nice to watch Andrew, even prior to suspension upgrade restoration as I haven't driven mine in years. Would be good to make similar video with improved Manta. Hope the front springs got sorted out okay? Thanks!
Thanks! And you are correct, this was before all the suspension upgrades and new tires. As of right now, I still haven't installed the spring spacers in the front, but will probably do a short video when that happens.
Awesome video, great sound capture! Let me know if you want a cameraman on the outside for a video, sometimes I come out to Santa Barbara from LA for the weekend!
Thanks! Looks like you have some fun driving videos yourself. I might have to steal some of your locations :D Still have the Porsche? Might be a good one to slap some microphones on.
@@AndrewDoesCarStuff I do but it's not currently in LA. I'd love to come check out your cool cars some day, I started subscribing since you posted the videos about how to capture car sounds properly a few years ago!
@@CanadaLuke nice, thanks for sticking around! I hope to do more sound capturing with different interesting cars, it's just been a little hard to network with other car owners since I'm actually a total introvert in real life, lol
Glad I discovered your channel from the Hella driving lamps install. Love these mic'd up drives. Absolutely my type of content, heck yeah.
You have great taste in cars but that Opel is fantastic. It sounds and looks perfect. Nice job.
Thanks very much!
The back seat view was the best part for me, what a great view!
Yesss! Andrew listened and delivered! Amazing video
Thanks! More to come - probably the Miata next 😎
Wonderful, what a beautiful landscape.

Smiles of joy here from Sweden, glad you're enjoying what you've created yourself - makes it worth it all in the end. Keep it up dude 😎🙏
Thank you!
Brings back memories of driving mum's Manta A years ago. Especially the forearm exercise-like feel of no power steering.
