Went to an interview to find I was only being offered minimum wage to work overnight. Jobs like carwash attendant are paying $17+ and you think $15 for flipping my entire sleeping schedule and not being part of society is reasonable? It's insulting.
Nice, I might be applying to a store opening up here.(Escondido, CA) From what I understand it's a awesome work environment. I worked retail for a Wal-Mart before, had helped build the store as well. Was an Overnight Stocker. It was a decent wage and position. Loved the competitive work me and co-workers had going. To see who.could do it better and faster. WinCo seems like it would be a great place to work. Wages are better, medical and dental coverage. Looks awesome.
Work at Costco...they pay $21 an hour. Winco tops out at part time (which is 40hr a week) at $13-14 depending where you work. And at this point time you'll have to work 30yrs for it to pay off in esop. This isn't including inflation which is going up and up and up. I mean rent itself is going up for me about $20 a year.

I was a "Cart Associate" at walmart, the job isnt bad. It has its good times and its bad, but then again, this being Winco instead, it should be a whole lot better since u dont have to deal with the people of walmart lol
6:41.... Yes but every company offers this exact same thing. As a matter of fact most companies 401k plans are better than winco's. With the company I work for now I have really great benefits (fully covered co payments and and only 10% co-payments on major medical procedures and medication). And the company I work for will match any 401k. So that adds up in my favor very quickly! So I gotta ask, what's so great about the winco benefits?
