Dude, I watched too much videos and make massive research, but your video is the really best, I never do comments but I deserve the appreciation, Thank you
Really helpful video. I've built a couple of apps in Glide and wanted a simple overview & comparison of the main, more technically advanced app builders. You made it very clear!
Thanks so much for this. I've done an MVP in WordPress, which is my usual go-to platform, but looking to dev an app. FlutterFlow seems like a winner for my use case. Thanks!
5:19 Hey Matthew I thought it was you in the video inside of the video btw, it might be very cool to see if you show an actual app that has blockchain functionality in a video - how long it took you etc. I'm trying to build an blockchain app using Glide or Draftbit or bubble. But I wasn't so sure which one is the easiest for blockchain needs (couldn't really find helpful vid on TH-cam). Just some idea
Thanks for the feedback. To my knowledge, it's not possible or if it is, pretty challenging to incorporate blockchain into Glide and other no-code tools.
I don't think anything that should impact anyone. Generally, the trends of the tools seem to be staying true. Glide going more towards for internal tools for larger companies, Adalo being like Adobe XD for startups, and then Flutterflow being the most robust, but also steepest learning curve.
@Matthewgira thanks for this honest and articulate video. Quick question: will I deal with a lot of bugs if I publish my own app on the app store (through these platforms)? 2. How much does it cost to publish my own app and is it a one time fee?
Flutterflow has a "bug detector" of sorts built in, so you'll see where the issues are. Adalo and Glide don't have as much complexity, so bugs really won't be an issue there. Depends if you're going to the app stores to publish. If you are, they do have yearly costs for about $100/year. If you're not going to the app stores, there's no extra cost. You can just share the link to your app via the tool you chose.
Yes and no on the complexity. It totally depends on the use case. It's not going to be the most custom build you've ever seen though. Flutterflow would have a lot more of the bells & whistles.
Hey Matthew thank you very much for your overview, really insightful !! Which platform would you recommend to build a mobile fitness app ? Thank you man, really appreciated !
Great content man, keep it up with the hard work!! Quick question what too would you recommend for a web app for user registration, help the user automated their daily work using AI and sending out emails? I already have the design on figma but still don’t know what should be the next step, maybe building the backend but how to integrate with figma or framer? Should i move to webflow insted? Hope you or anyone here find the time to answer. Thank you
Hmm. I don't know if any of the no-code tools can do all of that just yet. Maybe with plug-ins and integrations. Once integrations/hardware get pulled in, it becomes questionable with no code tools depending on API accesses and such. Webflow would be a no. Framer I would assume is a no (personally, haven't used it much). Flutterflow might be your best bet.
There are exporters out there for Glide, but you lose your support from Glide's team if you ever run into issues. I would just have users create a button on their mobile phones which is just a link to the mobile site of your glide app.
V Interesting video, thanks. I'm trying to find a nocode platform for mobile (and website) systems that lets me put in my idea as something i can understand (an entity diagram). The front end is also important. But I need to support this going forward and need to understand it quickly - hence the entity diagram.
Hi mathew i want to build a delivery courier app that tracts order and can put a proof of delivery like barcode scanner and customers comments and reviews.thank you
Maybe Flutterflow, but I don't see how that would work off the top of my head. Glide & Adalo won't be able to do that unless there's a plugin of some sort.
Hey Matthew, thank you for the video. I wanted to know if there would be scaling issues with Adalo even though we’d use xano or another back-end provider? Thanks!
If you've uploaded your app to the appstore and after a few days you quit your subscription to any of these app builders, will it still be available in the appstore?
Nice thinking bro …. Cause I feel paying such amount every month for a subscription is really depressing … I don’t know if regular clients would wanna pay… so I’m confused
Hey Mathew. i'm looking to build a multivendor app, where sellers connects with buyers... i have started with Glide but got stucked, so rn i am looking to learn glide from scratch before continuing.. do you think Glide is the best no code tool to easily acheive this?
For a beginning marketplace, yeah, Glide is a great option. If you build a strong backend in Airtable or Google Sheets, Glide just becomes the front end aka a website that connects to Airtable/Sheets.
Hi Matthew, thank you so much for this helpful information. I am in the process of building a wellness business, and I think an app would be a really nice feature, but I am trying to decide if this is something I want to start with or build later once I have more funds to dedicate to it. One of the functions I would like to have is customized exercise programs for the members. Do you know if this is something that can be accomplished in any of these app builders? Thanks!
When you say customized, do you mean personalized or what do you mean by that? It sounds like you're just starting out, so I would recommend using an off the shelf type of tool (how could you duck tape it together with links or other tools you already know) and then go from there.
I think you're talking about Microsoft's Power Apps. If that's the case, I haven't used them just yet, but knowing Microsoft and looking at the info on their websites, it's definitely for more internal tools. If you're using Microsoft products already and want to create more internal tools, that could definitely be worth a shot. Probably an in-between Glide and Flutterflow in terms of complexity if I had to guess.
I'm a backend developer and i wanna use a tool like this to connect to my own api's. Are there any tools like this that will allow me to connect to my api?
If it's just a simple e-commerce store, I wouldn't build an app. Shopify is great. If it's a really custom use case, any tool could work, but whether you want mobile or not is important. As mentioned, not all of these platforms go to the App Store. Flutterflow will give you the most robustness.
I haven't dove into it in-depth, but from looking at it a little bit, it looks way more like an internal tool for corporations rather than building a new startup with it.
I think it could be. If it's pretty simple, like showing schedules and acting as a web page in a lot of ways, I could see that working pretty well. If it's more than that in terms of features (like anything with community features), I would probably test it out with a core group (30-100 people) and see how it goes. If there's no big hiccups, it's probably fine. Just have to make sure your financial model/budget can handle it if things get to be a lot of data.
Recreating something like Uber out of the gate probably isn't a great idea. If you want that type of complexity, Flutterflow might be able to do it? A ridesharing app has a lot of features to it (location, privacy, safety, etc.) that a lot of apps just don't need.
Hi Matthew, I'm building a fitness app which has a google spreadsheet as its database, with less than 100 users which has individual content to display based on logged in user. Which no code mobile app is best for this use-case?
@@MatthewGira Hi Matthew, Thanks for the reply :) , the requirement are changed and most of it is future scoped like having offline access to app, integrating it with fitness devices, integrating it with social media and ML recommendation system. Dart
Why when I try to put my email it says I should use a big screen
Is there any available for installing on desktop instead of working in their website?
I don't believe so. Maybe there's a way to download the code and go from there? That's a bit out of my scope.
Is there no way to wrap a Glide app URL into a webview and therefore publish to Google and Apple App Store?
