The second one is from the "Fun with Dumb" podcast. Dumbfoundead is a LA based Korean-American rapper with ties to a few rappers who went to Korea from the USA, though likely more known now with his ties to Anderson .Paak and Awkwafina. Jay Park is one of his friends and has been on the podcast a few times. The show is very relaxed and guests are totally free to speak their minds if they wished.
cherry It wasn’t a disrespectful question. The staff made random questions and somehow Peniel picked it. The members behind the camera obviously support him a lot with his stress but they’ve also made jokes and laughed over it before. I think it makes less stress for him by not making the atmosphere weird. (One time during a game Ilhoon called him a baldie, even though it was just in the spur of the game and they all had a good laugh.) of course his health is the most important and yes, he should have refused if he was clearly uncomfortable, but he’s become much more comfortable lately and he didn’t show any discomfort :)

These foreign interviewers should seriously understand the fact that these idols are from a completely different society and belong to the Asian context. Being an Asian myself, I found some questions so cringy and crossing the line way too ahead. As k-pop is becoming widely popular around the world, people should learn to not only simply ask them inappropriate questions but rather get a higher viewing rate for their shows by doing some little research about their background and by staying within their limits. This goes to fans as well; you don't listen to their music just to ask about their private parts...YUK seriously...

Of course suju can turn it into a funny situation. The moment they got up and played rock paper scissors, the host lost control and suju turned it into a game. Legends.
I’ll never get over how hilarious the suju one is. Like you could zoom in on any of their faces at any point and it’ll tell you that they’re all 30+ and def have not waited for marriage hahaha

Shasha Eomma Ikr it’s so frustrating that BTS = kpop in the western media. BTS is a separate group from other kpop groups, even if they’re all one family under kpop. They keep asking questions to other kpop groups related to BTS and comparing them. Monsta X is talented in their own way and they have their own music and talents to share, so why would you ask them about BTS, which has nothing to do with them, other than being friends?
What the heck is wrong with the first guy? So disrespectful and uncalled for. Shame on him for asking people he does not even know personally something like that!😤
I like how Rosé chose to answer the question despite of their team telling them not to. The question was about how idols are forced to do things by their companies. If Rosé had not answerd, it would have proven them right. So good that she answered once in a smart way.
Suju playing rock paper scissors to see who would have to answer that question got me 🤣🤣 heechul and shin dong were so impressed by the way they were able to ask the questions lmfao 🤣🤣
Koreans are respectful. Siwon killed me though... answering at the age of 34..., it's like he's still ashamed of sexual life. But he is being polite and answers in a mature way!!
I understand that in other parts of the world or with other cultures, sex is a topic that can be a comfortable topic to talk about. I guess it depends from person to person. But please...do your research on other cultures before asking such questions. These idols aren't there to talk about sex anyway. They're there to talk about their music and themselves in a comfortable way. Even if they were comfortable to talk about sex, it's completely irrelevant to what they are there for. Unless they bring up the topic themselves, which is highly unlikely, but none of them did. MCs need to ask better and relevant question in a respectful manner tbh. Zack Sang, for example, is one of the better and respectful hosts. He digs up info, asks good questions, actually sympathize/empathize with them, and does his research beforehand. Some of these interviewers/MC's/hosts need to take notes from him.
2:45 this isn’t okay to say I’m a multifan and I like both Bts and Got7 besides other kpop groups and artists. I really liked Jackson’s response really there is no competition no one is better than the other.
7:24 that straight up *"not, not, no no!!!"* (Evn tho it was cute n funny 😅) made her say *" SORRY"* right away!!! She realised where she put herself into 😒
If any other idol grps were asked what suju were asked and answered, it would be so awkward but since suju knows how to make it funny or not awkward. I think they’re the only ones who could answer it like that. Maybe just an old kpop gen thing
am I the only one who got mad at the Blackpink one? I am sick of those western medias who try to only portrait kpop as some sort of slavery industry and do not care about music at all. 😤
But don't you think it's important that they get to talk about their hardships? Nothing in life, including being a K-pop idol, is all highs. If you ignore/suppress the lows, it only feels worse. i'm not calling it slavery, even though some groups aren't paid appropriately for the work they do (like the Rose said their company hasn't paid them in 3 years) or are otherwise mistreated by those they trust(ed). Being American, I can say that it also happens here but the intensive training these very young people have to go through should not be pushed under the rug (like I get it but also, does it really have to be that way?). If these situations aren't talked about, they'll continue to happen. I guess I'm biased as a "westerner" but they should be able to talk about the music AND about how they struggled.
TheSinkingShip It would be fine if western media tried to dig into these topics as a a way to bring awarness to these issues, but in my opinion and for what I have noticed so far, they don’t care about this at all - as they are only interested in creating dramatic headlines. It seems to me that they are trying to push this narrative that kpop is some sort of evil industry that has little to do with the actual music. I find it highly unfair that they attack training system without trying to understand the meaning of it, comment about lack of spontaneity, mock the devotion of fans and what is worse - like to bring up recent suicides in kpop to prove their point. In reality kpop industry isn’t any worse than any other western entertainment industry (look at metoo movement in Hollywood). It seems to me that just because they are unfamiliar with it and a lots of aspects in kpop are unheard of in the western world they don’t even try to understand it and see its beauty. I don’t know it just seems to me they are prejudiced. Kpop has so much to offer - sure it has its fair share of problems like any other industry but also a lot of unique and beautiful characteristics and they refuse to see it. And to be fair not all western media are like that - but this isn’t the first time I have seen report like this one (and even worse) and honestly, I am mad it. 😃
@@litterascriptamanet7975 right????? I was thinking the same. The thing is that the mainstream music industry it's pretty similar everywhere you go but western media always try to portray the korean music industry as an evil robot making machine and the idols as pretty/handsome faces with no personality or music talent. The music industry has a really big, ugly side to it but it's the same in every country. Germany, Korea, France, Mexico, USA, etc. It's tiring to see western media trying all the time to push their narrative about the korean music insustry when the don't even care about korean idols/artists. It gets really annoying when they’re interviewing a group and then they HAVE to mention Bts. Like wth you’re not interviewing Bts you’re interviewing the group (in this case got7) so ask questions that relate to them
Who the hell asked about Peniel’s shampoo 😂😂
Penial's one was random :)
Ask him now. ♥
The were randomly picking questions and he just happened to choose that one lol
Most of the other questions were weird, but this one made me happier 😂👌🏽
these are some really disgusting questions to ask anyone ugh, you call this entertainment? it's just outright disrespectful and not even funny in any way shape or form

And as a Mexican-American I apologize for the Suju one 😂 We Latinos are too wild lol

@snowangeliquexx these interviewers were just being extra af lol they're not normally like this. One of them was a talkshow like the Spanish version of wendy Williams so you can see where this is going lol
You don’t have to apologize you didn’t do anything wrong, what one guy does doesn’t reflect on all Brazilians ❤️
2:46 ITS ALL LOVE AND SUPPORT IN KPOP.... THATS SO TRUE WHAT JACKSON SAID.
THAT REPORTER GOT NO JAMS
I love how bambam and jackson responded for the "beat bts" question it was so sweet to such an unnecessary question
I feel bad for the translators
I absolutely HATE when interviewers ask the idols sexual questions or if they've dated/hooked up with fans. It's so disrespectful to them and it basically setting up the idol for hate, in a way.
Suju really handled the situation very well. You can tell how uncomfortable they were but they kept their poise. They are so respectful.
They weren't uncomfortable at all.
It was just a culture shock and they gave a great answer that they all agreed with and applauded so 🤷🏽♀️
@@olugboyeopeyemi2428 I watched this last year and watched it again today to see if I was wrong. Nope. You can clearly see how uncomfortable they were especially Eunhyuk and Donghae. Who in their right mind would ask somebody this question considering the fact they just met? 🤷♀️
@@jinjiwang3258 She is asking their opinion about it
It's supposed to be a fun interview
And honestly, apart from the fact that people or fans who share a different view from their answer could get upset(even though they shouldn't, it's a personal opinion) and that in Korea, people are not as direct and upfront hence the culture shock,I don't see any reason why they would be uncomfortable 🤷🏽♀️
@@olugboyeopeyemi2428 You already said it. It's about the difference in culture. Knowing someone is from another country, you should be considering if the question is even appropriate for them. If you ask me about my sex life, while knowing most asians are uncomfortable about the topic, then I'll probably leave you right there and then. LMAO this shouldn't even be a debate. The definite answer is that they were wrong to ask that🤷♀️
@@jinjiwang3258 well
the first one was downright disgusting and disrespectful to the idols. Also, it's as if the host was objectifying women because he says that he can get them for the idols like bruh -_- respect them please
“No no no there’s no competition in kpop it’s all love and support” omo best answer ever😭🥺❤️
As a Brazilian, the first one makes me feel so ashamed. The guy think he's funny but he's only being inconvenient. Thank god he's not on TV anymore. He was involved in a few controversies about the limit of "humor", if we can call that humor, he was sued by a Brazilian singer that was pregnant at the time he said on his show that she was so pretty that he'd fuck her and her baby... so his level can be this low... I dont even know that group, but I'm sorry for them...and really sorry for the translator too

Peniel and his shampoo was the only thing that got me through this video😂😂. Some of these questions were just disgusting and disrespectful.
2:46 Tell em, GOT7. People keep thinking it's all beef and wars between groups when in reality, most of them love, support, and admire each other regardless of winning awards and whatnot. Some of them are good friends with each other as well. Like Jackson and Namjoon. Anyway....most of these questions should've never been asked in the first place. If it's a personal or uncomfortable question/comment, better not to mention it at all. Smh. The disrespect.

as for eunkwang - his member could've ignored this question tho...
sm.princexx I think ilhoon was just messing about also as a joke.
Lol with Eunkwang, Ilhoon was the one doing him dirty tho
They also asked monsta x about bts, like man, really?
Shasha Eomma
Ikr it’s so frustrating that BTS = kpop in the western media.
Leo was really not having it and N was just panicking there. That host is disgusting.

@@zeyphr1362 I agree!
I love how the idols are professional with their answers with those irrespectful or uncomfortable questions.

I'm european too(from Spain) and I've seen that narrative many times on our tv.
