Thanks for watching, it is actually good fun trying to make this type of video. Hope it gets the point across, and yes the Fritts are great, good to see you watched it all the way through, always try to do something different at the end....

It takes a while to make these pruning videos as we try to show results. I will try to get a few others started so we can build up the library. A new video on pruning Buxus, sort of Japanese style coming soon, stay tuned.

Very usefull. I have recently started a camellio topiary bank, and a couple look like they want to grow big, so wecan do this cloud method to them.

What time of year do you do this? After it's bloomed?

Ahhh… I needed this. Someone completely butchered my 100 year old camellia. I was afraid I was going to have to hard prune it way back to fix the big chunks taken out of the hedge shape, but I’ll try this instead!

there is lots you can do with that type of pruning. Think about where you want it to be in a few years and you can end up with something special. Good luck and let us know how it goes......

@@johnnyAGardening im in the region de Paris. I give them fertilize and soil special for camelia every year. My soil is normal i guess and i see the ones of my neighbors didnt grow much either. Thanks a lot

So you may need to check the pH of your soil. 5.8 to 6.6 is ideal as camellias like an acidic soil. You can also find specialist Camellia fertiliser which can help with this. Mulch around the plant to maintain moisture and help improve the soil. Lots of organic matter. Also a deep watering occasionally may be needed during hot periods. Hope this helps.@@emmynguyen1693
