Wow I love Pontiac's and this one is sure the cream of the crop! Wow just brand new from top to bottom. This car was just awesome! Loved it from every angle. The owner and his friend were just awesome too! 1 of 5 of these and it looks like this after all these years! My Lord the engine sound and those tail lights were just the berries. My gosh Lou what a treasure you have found for us to see Lou! Thanks so much!
WOW! A GTO that is as nice as mine. I still have my 1967 GTO HO that I bought new. Completely restored all number matching. Tyrone blue, 360 HO, 4 speed with console, rally II, rally gauges, 355 posi traction. KRE installed a Scat rotating assembly. The 400 is now a 461.

Hi Newton Washinton, Glad to read you enjoy the looks of this car :-) Having two 1965 GTO's is nice. Happy to read the early GTO's have a special place with you, and you're welcome, Lou
GREAT! Not "resto-modded with "new" stuff that doesn't belong on a 1966 GTO such as different wheels, different steering wheel, different engine.....DIFFERENT EVERYTHING!! THIS is the way a 1966 GTO should look!!
Another classic Goat, thanks for sharing ! A question for those Pontiac experts: I had a `66 Grand Prix with a 421 HO tri-power (376 HP) engine, 4-speed, Posi, and those nice finned aluminum 8-lug wheels. How rare was this car ? I still kick myself for letting it go....
What a beautiful car! I’m diggin’ the red line tires, too. Can’t believe how ‘thin’ tires were back then. LOL!! I’d have to at least take this out for Sunday drives once in awhile. To me, cars were meant to be driven, maybe not aggressively when like this age & condition, but certainly meant to be driven. Thanks Lou for a great Saturday morning!
Hi Rusty, Glad to read you think this car is "beautiful" :-) I like driving them too. You're welcome and thank you for the wonderful comment starting off my Saturday nicely too, Lou
Beautiful! I always loved the taillights on these as well Lou! My favorite cars of that era are the 68-70 B Body Mopars... you can see where the inspiration came from.
@@wmalden Those headrests were an option and in my buddy's car (66) when we were rear-ended hard enough to tear the seats almost out of the floor.. Glad we had them .. Great car while it lasted.
Ive got a 1968 Catalina 4 Door all original myself, and 66 was in my opinion the best GTO. Last year for tri-power, and the redesign is amazing, the color combo on this one is outstandingly beautiful. Love the White and Black Pontiac's, the Black GTO with the Rally 1 wheels besides it is a beautiful gem as well. Wish I could see a video on that to :)
Beautiful car but I come from the "it is a car drive it" school but to each his own. Great video Lou thanks so much for all the work you do to bring these interesting vehicles to us.
Another beautiful car Lou, I agree with some of your other viewers that it's a pity so many of these owners rarely or never drive their cars, one day gas may no longer be available and then they'll never see the open road again 😥😥. Still I appreciate getting to see them on video 👍👍

Hi Lou, What is there not to love about the Poncho, beautiful lines & stunning interior especially with the chrome trim around the gauges just those finishing touches just awesome, Ponti was ahead of the game back in the mid 60's, just look at the interior of my favorite 1966 Catalina 2+2, can you feature a Catalina in your upcoming video's please Lou. Just need some clarification. I didn't think you can have a hardtop coupe. It was either a hardtop or a coupe not both. I have been told that a hardtop is where the front & back window can go up & down with no post in between. I was recently at Chrysler at the Murray, the biggest Mopar Car Show in Australia. Just 1 post car a 1967 Dart & to my amazement the back window winds down, thanks to your show I learnt that, now I have a soft spot for post car. Now a coupe is the exact same body as a hardtop just that the back window doesn't wind down it is either solid or pushes out similar to the Roadrunner's of 68, 69 & 70. Hardtop & Coupe. ‘66 was the heyday of the Goat!
The year of Pet Sounds sold more GTO’s than ANY other year...and it was also the final year to offer tri-power.
Thank you for viewing and sharing your knowledge.
Tri Power could be had in 67 as a Dealer Installed Option - the last year it could be had
