This is one of my favorite videos of the series. No epic views, no deep pillow lines, no mach speed carving, but still pure distilled stoke, and ski enthusiasts having the time of their lives. This is what it's all about, and I'm proud to be a part of this community!
Marcus, I hope you appreciate the amount of magic you're creating for an industry that mostly regurgitates the same uninspired and tired stories for almost thirty years. Your point of view is, as the kids say, "on point." Keep up the great work.
I watch all your videos, and have watched them many many times but I always return to this one for the SOUL of skiing, you nailed it. Love the pancakes too. It really is about having fun!!!
Thirteen turns top to bottom. Bigger mountain than I started skiing in the 1960's. Many, many small Pennsylvania ski areas have closed with the loss to the communities. Others have become a land development or resort with a ski area. We need to support our local mountains so they exist for the next generation of snow riders. Yes, I'm still out there enjoying sliding on different toys.
I reckon I gotta give it to Minnesota skiers! I'll put them right there with us eastern geeks. Reminds me of The Berkshires! Marcus should come visit-Mohawk, Berkshire East and Jiminy Peak- the 'big' three! He'd have a blast ! Sick edit, MC! Really captures the spirit. P.S.- Weed's legal in MA. Dials in the stoke. Let's just say it helps! P.P.S.- Great convo with Ellsworth on The Blister Podcast. Inspiring! SFLNT!
Something I’ve never understood is how people have bad days on the mountain. Skiing is a blast. Full stop. These people get it. ❤❤ I could even go to Deer Valley and have fun 😄.
I’m from the Midwest and have never skied the West or East. None of my friends know how to ski but I’ll eventually make it out there. All there is to do here is turn! Nothing super steep, and nothing long. We just get good at carving a line but I know when I make it out West it’ll be worth it.
Marcus, I’ve been your fan since you started return of the turn. Thank you for your effort. I currently live in Michigan but love little cottonwood canyon. I like your opinion about skiing because I totally understand what you saying being a michiganer. This episode really touched me from my heart.
Marcus, you are an awesome dude! Thanks for this, can't wait to get on my boards again. Come to Ragged Mt. in NH some time soon. Ski the East, Born from Ice.
Learned to ski at highland hills, spent a lot of time at buck hill and afton alps as a kid, not the biggest vertical but you can still have a lot of fun there.
Wow dude... the editing, the shots, the narrative, this is one of the best uploads I’ve seen In a long time. What you have made here is actually inspiring and I can’t wait to see more from you. You from the Midwest then?
Buck is great for a quick 2 - 3 hour workout. $24. Beats the gym. Thank God Marcus did not reveal the bump run location. Race suits. Chasin' sticks. Cool. If that's your thing. Less riders hittin' the bumps. See ya out there.

Thank you, TUADC! I, for one, appreciate MC's humility and respect for the sport. It's supposed to be fun, after all.
We need a beer league like this in southern Ontario!!

My favorite episode so far! Great story. I love that they love skiing with nothing to really ski! Great attitudes ;)
This is skiing man. Nothing corporate. All about the love of it and the GENUINE culture.
I love that bare-bones skiing culture. Thanks for this fun film. It was fun to watch.
Best ski series on the net
This series is absolutely great

This video means a lot to me as a midwest skier

"Eat pasta. Smoke rasta. Ski fasta." 😂

I have fallen in LOVE with RETURN OF THE TURN!
The best skier out there is the one having the most fun!
Totally different conditions but exactly the same joy of skiing I pursue in New Zealand and Japan. Come ski in Japan or New Zealand!

This is the real soul of skiing

Still wanna see that powder segment though :)
Loving the Deer Tick soundtrack
Awesome video! Getting amped for some ice coast turns.
Yup. Us midwesterners will ski anything and enjoy it.
inspiring! Keep doing these please.
52-1:12 there are so few pieces of footage that can go 20 seconds and not spoil pacing. That 20 seconds is the absolute key to the pacing here.
when in doubt Carve It Out !

utah
Came for the skiing... stayed for the pancakes.
Never seen a ski hill right next to a main road lol
Loveland
And Copper
My home hill! Also it's definitely not great skiing, but when they're out of steak and hamburger is all that's left, that's good enough.
I can relate.
We need this on the Wasatch Front!
Midwest pride!
Came for the mustache, stayed for the narrative style.

5:04 straight out of a cartoon
Marcus, what’s your ski and boot setup that you used in this video?
Thanks for the love letter, Marcus.
OMG, the marketing genius that convinced these people that speed suits are what they need 😂.
👍
The complete skier loves to rip hardpack. Period.
"The new race suit didn't help at all".
