Return of the Turn, Episode 15: Tuckerman Ravine
In this episode, we travel to Tuckerman Ravine in New Hampshire to ski at and learn more about the iconic ski destination. After racing the Inferno ski race in Murren, Switzerland, we had heard that some Americans started a similar race at Tuckerman Ravine in the 1930's. We wanted to follow in their footsteps and try to imagine what it was like racing down the headwall.

In this episode, Marcus travels to Murren, Switzerland to experience the world's largest and longest amateur ski race, the Inferno. It is a top to bottom race with thousands of competitors, little safety netting, and zero chill. As stress levels rise in the days leading up to the race, only an epic day of powder skiing could be the cure.

Personally I ski the Rossi 4XK. I find it to be a perfect do everything ski from racing to moguls and powder. Short skis suck long skis truck.

Skiing real moguls (not shitty zipperlines) is the most challenging human sporting endeavor there is. There's nothing else that demands more in terms of spontaneity, ingenuity, and full-body fluidity

I never really 'got' moguls until I took a 1:1 lesson at Winter Park to learn the right way to ski them. I'm told they have the best moguls, best mogul skiers and best instructors and since then I've loved and seek out mogul runs.
I skied a few runs with your dad at snowbird the other day and he told me to subscribe to your channel haha- good stuff!

Wellll..If moguls were always this soft and well formed, it would be a lot more fun. Rock hard bumps with no rhythm to them just aren’t my idea of a good time…good technique builders, but fun?…Nah!
I think we would get along skiing very well. You look like me skiing in those conditions. My feet hurt just thinking about it! 😊
