If one has done graduation in general subjects then can he opt for a specific subject in masters to be a lecturer or professor in future or is it mandatory to have graduation in that specific sub.

A lecturer is synonym for an Adjunct any teacher with more than one Master's degree at any area of teaching and being exploited by an organization such as Private, college or university, I do not recommend to be an "adjunct faculty, AKA " lecturer " you will get a miserable salary, with no rights, insurance or any kind of beneficts, which leads you to " no warranty of a job" and you will be on the scope always, with the same responsibilities but treated poorly by co workers and students. The salary does not allows you to survive and pay your bills in US teaching 2 classes at any college at the time. Don't Do it ! Please!
