I’ve learned so much that I didn’t have a clue about with this series on tints! I can truly say this will change my approach to choosing glasses in future. All the glasses you’ve showcased are simply stunning and you have such enthusiasm for the subject, it’s a pleasure to watch.

Wow. Just wow. I wish you guys were in the US. I have struggled for so long with things like photochromic lenses that I would like, but I am always just stuck with Transitions. I have an order of Nike Flyfrees coming in, but they are stuck with Transitions Xtraactive, which, while decent, is, like you have said many times before, is stuck with grey and brown. I really wish I could have a beautiful green or blue that could match some of the great color options the Flyfrees come in, while also being able to wear these inside as well. Really, this is amazing.

I love this channel recommends and showcases tints. Most opticians I visit in my city advise against tints. Iam assuming most people don't find them as practical and get the wrong tint color and percentage for what they need. Possibly leads to more dissatisfied customers. Since I still have multiple pairs of unstinted lenses in frames already, i have been looking to add tinted lenses for my next few pairs, drawing inspiration from this channel. I was looking for colors that add contrast to my vision (I love brown and blue tinted sunglasses for this reason). I recently found a spot where all the opticians there are very fond of tints and all wear them. I was so happy they wanted to help me pick the right tints for myself and add something different, more bold, and more unique to my collection

I have a red tint, a custom lavender with pink added, a pair with copper / orange tint, and I just ordered the new Transitions Gen S ruby with a light brown gradient and flash gold mirror. Also on order, a heavy orange acetate frame with a level 2 G-15 tint.

Consumers put thought into their frames but not into their lenses. Many opticians won't focus on maximizing the lense type for your needs. If they can make a couple hundred dollars selling lesser quality lenses, that's what they will do and not tell you. You must be your own advocate. It's sad, but I've learned that when shopping for eyewear the glass is half empty, not half full.

Hi Robert! Thanks so much for this channel; I'm gaining wonderful insights! I'm about to purchase a pair of L.A. Eyeworks Blakey's in the brown tortoise (Tight Tokyo I think it's called). With that color frame, what subtle tint would you recommend? Never done a tint before, so I think maybe a 20%. You have me hooked on blue for comfort and calming, but I might save that for another pair. What to do with the Tight Tokyo's though? Thanks again, and keep up the great work!

O don't want to change glasses to drive at night (unless I keep my night driving glasses in the car which i I gather isn't advised), so I'm questioning my need for a tint as opposed to some kind of photochromic lense. The latter seems more versatile to me.

Seems like you're thinking in terms of only having one pair of glasses. That can be quite a limiting perspective on your enjoyment of eyewear.
But a light tint (up to 25%) is suitable for night driving, so you don't have to worry. And you can always add photochromic to that as well, if you want
