I totally agree with your review. I have the controller too. A really great thing would have been a touch menu. This would also solve the problem of active buttons during the game. In contrast to the Apex 4, the motion control is well usable and the sensitivity is good. The buttons, on the other hand, are disappointing again. There are a lot of good and bad things on the controller. So it probably only stays mid range over all.
Missed opportunity with the dongle not being used via dock pass through. Unshielded USB 3 is All too common in third party peripherals especially docks for things like handheld PC gaming devices. The pass-through allows a quick and easy escape from interference with the bonus of usually getting the dongle right out in the open with a clear line of sight to your controller.
I can’t believe they still haven’t fixed that pass through problem, especially for the Switch mode. Guess we can’t expect much from Chinese companies. Just had my third Gulikit King Kong Pro 2 break also. Was gonna buy this controller and you mentioned the EXACT same problems from months ago are still present. As far as I’m concerned they got one more month of me waiting for it to get fixed before I give up on waiting and just not buy it.
i bought a china version...they named it as betop kunpeng 50... manba one and kunpeng 50 are actually same controller just difference in name...but kunpeng 50 comes with mech tactile face buttons and gulikit hall sticks. supports multi languages
Great review as always VK. I think displays on controllers are a gimmick and waste of money. All I need is a cool RGB LED light design with options for different colors and animations, don't need a display.
I now have both, Betop and Manba. And they are both the same in terms of housing and the concept display. But that's it. Input options are much more diverse with the Betop. In addition, the buttons are deactivated during the display input for the game. The keypad are smooth-running tactile buttons contrary to the cheap buttons from Manba. At the end, many things are implemented much more valuable by Betop. Manba seems to be the cheap product.
I wonder how long those membranes are going to last. Between the stiffness and how they look, I don't have high hopes for this being a long-lasting controller.

What on the hardwarevis different in the BTP-KP50A? I chan confirm, the keypad buttons are horrorable. And the fact, in case of customize the buttons during the game while the buttons are still active is it really hard to setup new configurations as long as the console is on.

Hello thanks a lot for your in-depth reviews of the controllers, I need your advice. I had a GameSir T3 controller but it became faulty rapidly. What would be your advice for a great 2.4 controller for an Android box with motion detection and low input lag? Thanks a lot and keep up the good work
Are those button looking things in the handle functional at all? The clear face plate comes off and they look very pressable but I don't want to over do it and break them. They really look like a functional button of some kind tho lol
They may not have solved any of the issues that matter, but at least they solved all the problems nobody was having, like not having a big enough screen on their controller. So I'd be interested in this if they made it wired-only, shrank the screen, got rid of the LEDs, and fixed all the issues with basic controller function that you pointed out. In other words, if it was a completely different controller.
this controller would be good if it didnt have a masive problem which is bad deadzones that cant me switched or edited the pull for it is 8 to 9 and the jitter is 15 this is a really bad controller even when overclocking it the APEX 4 is way better
Again with the horrible 4 back button placements. Do these manufacturers never learn? You need to be able to press all 4 buttons without lifting off another finger to reach another button in an awkward position!!
@@rinosurber7919 no it has nothing to do with handsize. It’s about being able to press all 4 buttons without taking a finger off as many games require multiple button presses at once for different things.
@@OfficialMyMindset hmmm...i push the shoulder with the index finger. The first back button with the middle and the other with the ring finger. I guess you use the middle finger on the trigger, right?
@@rinosurber7919 It doesn't matter I can play with my index on the bumpers/ring on triggers or just index for all of them. The issue still remains the same with back buttons. Ideally you want to be able to press all back buttons with different fingers to allow to do multiple button presses without lifting a finger. Crucial in some games.
I love that you teardown every controller, no other TH-camrs do. I do the same after buying one.
Looks a bit like the "we have the Apex 4 at home" controller.
yup this is what china does, they copy everything even from the chinese. It brings competition so lower prices might be coming?
Some guy tryinna say it's better
How come every Asian controller company can make better controllers tha xbox and sony
It comes from the availability of cheap decent controllers nowadays. Now if you want to stand out, you've got to step up your game.
