In other words which numbers do I need to workout Wh? For example, I have the MAh or if I know the V and Amp but there could be multiple ports with different V and A combination, in that case which one do you use to calculate the Wh for airline travel?
It all depends on voltage Remember, a powerbank has inner voltage of 3.7V, while you need to increase it to 5/9/12/20V. Of course you can’t increase voltage and at the same time preserve current. That’s why mAh will decrease with voltage increasing. So 20000mAh is only true for 3.7v inner powerbank voltage
@@ToolsElectroDIY I would love to know that too as I bought 20k mah one and it charged half of my battery and died. It was fully charged before. I wonder if it was faulty power bank or maybe laptop batteries takes way more power to charge?
@@TheDayVee It is 74wh capacity and 74% efficient, meaning you get about 55wh out of it. If you laptop battery is 100wh, then 55% charged up makes sense.
@@ToolsElectroDIY watts hour and volts are specified therein, but not mAh. I'm not technically adept enough in that department to deduct the capacity in mAh from the given information.
@@CirphrankGG No matter what battery bank you get, it’s hard to get a full charge on a Lenovo IdeaPad. The issue isn’t just the battery bank capacity; it’s about how much power the laptop needs and the inefficiency of power conversion. The Lenovo IdeaPad 5, for example, needs a charger that outputs 20V at 3.25A (which is around 65W). So, if you want to charge a 56.5Wh battery, you need a battery bank that supports output at 20V, not the typical 5V most power banks provide for phones. Here's the math: you'd need a battery bank rated for 20V to match the laptop's input. A lot of people think a 10,000mAh or 20,000mAh battery bank will do the job, but that's misleading. Those ratings are often based on the 3.7V cells inside the power bank, not the output voltage. When you're drawing high current at 20V, the usable capacity drops significantly. For example, even though you have a 20,000mAh battery bank (which is 74Wh at 3.7V), when you step that up to 20V, you'll lose a lot of efficiency in the conversion process. In practice, you'll likely only get a fraction of that capacity, especially at higher loads. Pulling more amps reduces the usable capacity even further due to internal resistance and heat. Take my phone as an example: it has a 4000mAh battery, and I charge it at 12V 1.67A. My 20,000mAh battery bank (which should theoretically provide 76Wh) only gives me about 2 full charges-that’s only about 8,000mAh of actual usable capacity. Add to that a full charge for my AirPods Pro, and I get roughly 8500mAh out of what’s supposed to be a 20,000mAh bank. So if you're trying to charge a laptop like the IdeaPad, you'd realistically need a battery bank rated around 30,000mAh or even 40,000mAh at 3.7V (which translates to roughly 100-150Wh) to get close to a full charge, especially when accounting for real-world inefficiencies.

Remember, a powerbank has inner voltage of 3.7V, while you need to increase it to 5/9/12/20V. Of course you can’t increase voltage and at the same time preserve current. That’s why mAh will decrease with voltage increasing. So 20000mAh is only true for 3.7v inner powerbank voltage
How many times Baseus 65w 20000 mah can charge your macbook?
I may do a follow up video to get that.
The laptop battery is actualy 8120mah/ 94wh, so I was expecting it to charge the laptop twice not half.
@@TheDayVee That's not how battery bank works. Nothing is 100% efficient. Usually around 70~75% efficiency range.
can this laptop be charged with that 100W powerbank?

If your laptop has a USB-C charging port, then yes, it can.
thank you for your response@@ToolsElectroDIY
CaMpacity?
20,000 and 30,000 mA
How can I check how many mAh my laptop battery is so I can calculate how many mAh capacity is best for purchase?
I use a Lenovo Ideapad 5 (82LM).
User manual
Ugreen 145watts is better than any of the powerbanks you demo.
Please check the publish date of this video, and tell me if the other one you suggest existed before that date.
Can you use two different power inputs from different power sources for faster charge?
No. Only one input can be used at a time
lol why would people want to do that.
the input charging is already overkill. Do that if you want a spicy feeling at home. (Meaning: you'd get baked)
What about people who don't only have Apple products, y'know, straight people?
Hi Chris, if your windows laptop supports PD charging, you can also use the Baseus power bank to charge it.
I want a power bank that can charge my laptop from 0 to 100
It really depends on how big your laptop battery capacity is.
Change frequency of your microphone, it's crazy how unpleasant the sounds of metal touching are. This is a dislike purely for misophonia.
Thanks for the feedback
Future proof...LOL In 6 months there will be something better, and probably made by Baseus ;)
Yes there is a new 65W model with built-in type-c cable. Stay tuned.

Damm guys dont buy this BASEUS 65W laptop charger. This is a common problem. It only lasted me 2 months and now its dead. Its the design. DONT BUY IM WARNING YOU. Dont waste your money on this Chinese SCAM
Did you contact their customer service?
Please send me your email. I will ask my Baseus customer service team to contact you and fix the problem.
I've been using this brand for two and half years now, never had any problem with the products I bought.
@@qks9806 Good to know
Mine also died (65W charger from baseus). All usb-A ports got broken and only usb-C works. 2 weeks after warranty haha
i keep hearing "which one should you get" in @allthinginoneplace voice LMAO
Ok
