For the younger viewers, 976 is a reference to the 1980's movie '976 EVIL', which is about a haunted telephone switchboard. Pretty fun film.

Not to be that guy, but this video and 976 directly reference the 976 numbers back in the day. 976 EVIL actually is a reference to those numbers.
I did the math and to answer 15 thousand calls a month each call would max out at 2.66 minutes, and that’s working 24 hours a day seven days a week. Truly what splentastic dedication to one’s job.

This video has this amazing wibe of ER in his prime (4-7 years ago - very frequent content of Arkham Sanitarium videos, often with amazing props and editing. Those were the times).
He still makes amazing videos now, if not even better. No doubt about it

Jesus time must work differently in the tingle office as you’re severely overworked. If you’re doing 15,000 calls and each one is around 25 minutes each. That’s 260 days of relaxing customers in a month. That better be some bonus!

I called 976-ASMR once back in 1989 and when my parents got the phone bill they whooped my a$$. Those by the minute charges add up. Later in the 90s I got a cell phone and used up all my minutes calling 976-ASMR. I was always waiting for the new month to get more minutes. I should have bought a calling card to save money.

Honestly, a hotline for the best late night ASMR sounds a lot more fun and gratifying than certain other numbers advertised after dark.
This is by far the most creative one yet, I love it!

So .99 cents a minute, from 2:39 to 25:55 (roughly judging from when the phone was answered to when Corvus fully hung up)....so that's 23 minutes, 16 seconds. I forget how they charged, Let's say part of a minute is rounded up, so $24. That would be the equivalent of $89.34 these days. ASMR is a luxury good it seems XD

I like to imagine that we, the viewer, have a lifetime subscription to 976 ASMR because we can listen to the ASMR for hours on end

Eyes closed, that crinkly plastic made me imagine I was a test patient in a room draped in plastic, being experimented on by a Professor spiralling into madness. I could almost see the Professor slowly circling my chair and taking notes, and hear his footsteps on the crinkly floor.

I did the math. In an 8 hour work day, with no breaks, and working weekends, you’d need to do about 60 calls an hour to reach the 15,000 call bonus. Given that each call takes about 30 minutes, I’m guessing you’ve been working a lot more than 8 hours a day. Good luck Brian, you’re gonna need it at that job
