wow thats not at all how i expected you created products. i imagined you modified the stock parts, made a jig from the modded knuckle, then designed the arm within the constraints of the jig and then you make the control arms off that jig. But this way is so much cooler and makes way more sense lol

If the scanner doesn’t pick up black, why don’t you paint the surface of your Lazy Susan black ?

Cool to see what goes into making a lock kit. How many hours go into developing one?

Great Job ! It would be nice to know a bit more on the specs that Creaform is or need, (Canadian) has a long experience in 3D scanners, the model You use look like a 700 Elite actually it is based on a 2014 model relaunch in 2021 under the "silver" series with a much more lower price. Since 2022 these are equiped with blue lazer, the cost is around 33 600$ up to 57 000$ for the "Black Elite" wich is a bit more precise. Creaform produces also the powerfull "Go!Scan Spark" using structured white light rate around 38 000$.
What specs will this take on the computer ? At least an i7 with 32Gb Ram and at least 6Gb video ram ? What kind of video card you will need GTX1060 ? or greater ? At this level of price it is obvious that no DIY craftsman will be able to purchase any of those, but it might be a good idea to equip the Fablabs with such gear. Cheers from Geneva Switzerland

In fact, given the final result, I'm not even sure that we'll get a better result with this machine compare to a low-end model like Creality at just under $600 or an Einstar at just over $2000. ....

Curious about how you find what is the material of a part and what kind of heat treat or hardness it has ?

Instead of scanning process mostly, it would be gread reverse engineering desisng pross to see.. how to draw whole part, how to extract dimensions etc.. thank you
