I bought a Fluid Mosquito and think that this is the best trade-off in the lightweight division.

Honestly in the lightweight category what is the trade off?.. on this list The Mosquito was within 1lb of the lightest scooter, it was the fastest scooter, the 3-4 scooters with better range weighed close to 10lbs or more than the Mosquito and all but one of them is only adding 1-2 miles in range, the only place it falls behinid a little compared to SOME of the other models is the ride quality which is mostly because of its solid tires, in this category of lightweight sub 20 mile range scooters, I will gladly sacrfice a little ride quality for never having to worry about a flat tire.

IMO, looking at really lightweight scooters (18kgs max) it is hard to go wrong with the Mosquito / Etwow GTSport (kinda same thing). Preordered the gt sport a while ago, can’t see why I’d take anything else in this weight category: fast, maintenance free, light and easy to fold

    • @EssPhour
      @EssPhour 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@CodrinVinereanu I totally agree, knowing it has an Etwow pedigree I would purchase one in total confidence without the need of seeing a single review.....In the near future with the battery improvements(power to weight ratios), I would like to see Etwow put out a model with one of the puncture-proof tires currently in the market in a 10" tire. No compromise in reliability and a significant improvment in ride quality.

Is there any trade off in water resistance in the ultra lights like the etwow and mosquito. I know they handle poorly in wet conditions, but do they at least avoid water damage?

Ive owned multiple Uscooters and the GT is great!! cant wait for the newest upgrade coming soon - ive been riding escooters for over 8 years and the main feature that i don't think gets the proper attention is folding handle bars - you don't always need them but when you need to stow the scooter its just crucial - the Vsett 8 and 9 are important midsize commuter viable options to consider as well although they are a bit heavier

I have both and prefer e-twow/Usscooter/fluid over vset 8. There is a big BUT. In wet conditions GT is horrible and VSETT is way better. So my combo is e-twow gt sport from 2023 and now new ninebot G2 with upgraded suspentions for wet conditions and very long rides. Still enjoy e-twow more over ninebot if weather permits it.

Just pre-ordered the Mosquito yesterday. Instead of spending the money on that I bought the Mosquito. Next Thursday is payday, I'll do that. Great overview! It is great to see so many options to cover most use cases. I have had high-powered dual motor scooters but love having the E-Twow GT and now Fluid Mosquito. When I want fun while riding around I always pull out the EUC these days. However, when I want amazing power and portability the GT and Mosquito are perfect. My wife has put nearly 3000 miles on the GT and it is still running perfectly. The GT and Mosquito are easy to deal with on the train or putting into a tall gym locker. We also had the Inokim Light 2 but it was stolen. It was also a great scooter but we had least 4 flats in the few months we had it.

I had a 22-24 kilo scooter but it's broken and away for repairs (for weeks/months now), and therefore have been using my sister's lighter scooter (just less suspension/less comfort).

0:33 I wouldn't even consider the Air T15 an actual usable adult escooter with the poor range, speed, hill climbing, weight capacity, etc. At best it's just a toy or a non-adult scooter, yet costs far more than any other non-adult scooter. And it wouldn't achieve that weight if it had a bigger battery, bigger motor, bigger wheels, add suspensions, etc.
And it's just ironically you keep including scooters that are 38lbs or even 45lbs in this lightweight list. Those are definitely not lightweight at all. 45lbs is very heavy for regular, non-premium/high end scooters. Especially when the other half of the list you have scooters that are less than 30 lbs. So technically the everyone's favorite ninebot max could easily fit in this list at "only" 38lbs (G30LP) to 42lbs (G30). There are many good scooters as well between the 30lbs to 38lbs range that could easily replace those that are over 38lbs.

I currently own the Turboant X7 Pro and I agree with ESG that it's a good beginner scooter, although the regen braking takes some getting used to if this is your first scooter. One more caveat is, like ESG said in the video, it's front heavy. I tried to pop up the front wheel to hop onto the sidewalk from the road and flipped over the front, ending up with a concussion and some badass scars lol. It's still a great beginner scooter, just don't be stupid like me and always wear a helmet.

      I have a question…..
I have 3 electric⚡️ bikes🚲 and 2 push scooters. I am looking at electric scooters🛴 but I’m not versed on them like I am on the electric⚡️ bikes🚲
My push scooters🛴 have decks that are kinda similar in size to a freestyle skateboard and I can put both my feet👣 together side by side on it facing forward. It’s so much easier to ride 2 and even 3 people when the deck is wider.
Do you know of any electric⚡️ scooters like that ?
Speed and range isn’t super important this is mostly just for around the beach and strand and walk streets so no need for hypersonic speed.
Any ideas you can provide me is much appreciated.

Wondering if you have thoughts on the Blizwheel start up on Indiegogo. It has some eye-catching features, of which is the backpack size and weight, motors and crazy good water resistance. I'm thinking of being a first adopter, as they are in final production phase. Yes, 4" solid wheels are going to be a pretty crappy ride, but their suspension innovation makes me say, well, ok, for the mile I need it for, it will be ok. They even have a version you can carry on a plane. As a full time traveler, this might be a godsend. Check it out.
