10 Things you didn't know about Hollow Knight (probably)

- So yeah, it turns out a lot of things are there that we don't know about hollow knight so yes, I mean a lot of things. Be it hollow knight or silk song I think both will have the same amount of details.

1. There is an unused assest for a bench made out of vessels that was supposed to go into the abyss, this makes a lot of sense considering there was previously supposed to be 4 bosses in the abyss as kikstarter stretch goal which unfortunately never got met.
2. Nosk can actually turn into your loved one’s. this can be seen from the dream nail dilauges of the bugs that are dead outside his lair.
3. When hunter was young, he used to play hunt with his siblings in their nest. Ever since he is hunting the bugs of hallownest just for the sake of hunting.
4. Once you get scammed by the banker ( insert laughing meme), you can get her in the pleasure house in city of tears. Her name changes from “the banker to Theif”
5. Similarily, when in your first encounter with the this guys, his name appears as “ soul master’ but once you fall down and see the huge pile of bodies, his name changes to soul tyrant.’
6. If you dreamnail the last seer, she knows that you are trying to get into his mind. Not only the last seer, midwife, white lady, snail shaman and baradoon also know that you are trying to get into their mind.
7. Collector was actually trying to save the grubs. This can be seen from his dream nail dilauge, during the fight,
8. Lifeseeds run aways from you but if you are wearing joni’s blessing they are attracted toward you.
9. This thing is called a mistake. It was one of the most intelligent beings of hallonest but it started misusing soul and this misuse turned these into this deformed creatur
10. In the whole game there is only one dream boss that can use a physical weapon, which is galleon

Probably it would not have been crafted, but just a bunch of vessels conveniently piled up as a bench.
Marmu doesn’t create a weapon he is the weapon
There´s also something with Broken Vessel and it´s Dream Variant Lost Kin because first you just see it as a broken Vessel but after the Fight when it reaches out to you, you realize that they are related to you and because of that it´s name changes to Lost Kin
hate to be that person but.. vessels go by they/it, not he (small pet peave, if your language doesnt use those pronouns i understand)
other than that, i agree. its a detail that, while some players will notice, they wont understand what it means until they do the abyss clime.

0:37 we can also see this from the fact Winged Nosk has Hornet's body. This makes blatant what was already heavily implied: the Little Vessel is no more hollow than any of the others.
You can only access Winged Nosk after gaining the VoidHeart to get into PoH. Perhaps they *were* hollow, at the first encounter with Nosk, until they remembered their past, and gained affection for Hornet.
@@richardcollins5189 Perhaps, but, as I've implied before, if it really is as easy for a vessel to become "impure" as PoP, it's likely happened before you reach Nosk. In one way or another, Zote, Bretta, Broken Vessel, and the nailmasters would all likely make it feel emotion.
@@HumanoidDerpling Apologies; I meant Pantheon of Hallownest, which requires the Void Heart to access, as it leads to a confrontation with The Radiance. Path of Pain is not what I meant, and if that were the case, then it is very likely it would be impure before finding Nosk.
Even though most of these facts are already fairly well known, it was still a nice, well-edited video!
One of my favorite lore facts is how the Hollow Knight helps you (by stabbing itself) during the boss fight, showing that, despite its defiled body and failed mission, the Hollow Knight's mind was never fully taken over. This is further corroborated by the fact that, just like how HK is the only infected boss shown to resist the infection, it is also the only infected boss whose form in the dream-realm (Pure Vessel) isn't infected.
[Also, just in case anyone thinks that Pure Vessel is made-up by the godseekers - it isn't. The godseekers are merely tuning into minds (be they from the dead or the living), they don't have power over them. If they can't imagine Unn back in her former glory (and they REALLY would like to!), then neither can they imagine Pure Vessel, meaning PV has to come straight from HK's mind, who is canonically "alive" at that moment]
Yup that a great detail, and i agree that some facts are kinda well known, but i didn't knew this while making this. I think the next part will be truely things you didn't knew about hollow knight (hopefully) as I have already spent 4 days scouring through bits and pieces of the lore.
...Now that I think about it, WHY can't they imagine Unn and the White Lady and manifest them in Godhome? They're perfectly alive and well, and we know it's not because they're particularly violent, because neither are the Nailmasters.
@@GarryDumblowski The Godseeker claims that Unn's strength has faded "beyond time and tune", whereas the White Lady seems to be purposefully avoiding their attunement.
Gallien is also the on,y dream boss that thinks he’s still alive, so he must think he needs to use his weapon due to not having any other ones despite being able to make some himself.

I don't think you can encounter soul tyrant before you beat soul master, so it's impossible to check if his name changes
Edit: I have been informed that if you die when you reach the bottom, his name changes
well it works if you die in the 2nd phase, I'm bad at games so I encountered it, but never really noticed it? You know what I mean

I think rematches are renamed, because we get to know more aboit the bosses. Soul Master gets turned into Soul Tyrant, because we discover the bodies. Broken Vessel gets turned into Lost Kin, because we discover our kinship. False Knight gets turned into Failed Champion, because we discover the brothers he tried to protect.
We need the abyss dlc
I hope they revisit the failed stretch goals at some point.

1:00 - Also, if you equip both Grimm child and carefree melody, you can't talk to her, essentially "protecting" you from economic damage (?). With carefree melody you get an extra dream nail dialog, too

Pretty sure the same goes for Weaversong and Glowing Womb, but I haven't seen that. I know for a fact it does with Grimmchild, though

And so… maybe I’m looking too deep into this, but based on the “loved ones” / relatives thing in relation to Nosk, could he instead theoretically be posing as one of our siblings, not actually us 🤯
Would have it make more sense at this point if they let nosk use the pure vessel child model? Maybe they decided not to because he was too obviously different from a copy of the protagonist, but it would have make more sense

fun fact: when grub father has eaten all grubs after u save them. sounds grub father makes are simular to those sounds when you are getting closer to collectors arena. if you don't know those sounds are collector doing something whit grubs.

Yup, I kinda agree, but I bet you won't know any of the facts in my next video( Hopefully) , I have spent 4 days scouring through the lore and finding the bits and pieces.
Btw, It could be possible that you are talking about me when referring to other lore channels cause I took these from my previous not so popular videos and shorts. But i think there probably are other channels that covered it , its just that i don't know lol .

The collector “saving” the grubs isn’t true, though some pepole seeing grubfather eating the grubs see it as bad, the grub father is actually incubating his children

Honestly, I don't know how people mistake her for a guy. The voice (especially in the dream world), the design.. everything says it's a woman.
Nosk turning into loved ones (if we assume loved ones could also be like friends) has some crazy lore implications about how hollow ghost is as a person. Because when we see him for the first time, he disguises himself as the knight to lure us in, implying that the knight has nobody that the knight consideres a "loved one"/has any real connection to. However, in pantheons when Nosk is shown, he starts off as hornet. This could imply that sometime between nosk 1 and flying nosk the knight forms a genuine friendship with hornet, and therefore the knight is not hollow and that later down the line he too fails at sealing the radiance (if you go for any of the endings that have u replacing the hk). Or maybe im just reading too far into a few dream nail dialouges and a cool pantheon boss. Idk man if i was smarter i think id be able to have a smarter opinion but this is the best ive got atm

I'm the ones about nosk.... Probably the void bosses ware supposed to give the void abilitys and probably the void loard was one of them at some point instead of making the knight become one at the end of the void lord at the end of the phanton of hollow nest and I also knew a few others

If Noskturned into people's loved ones that means that the knight either doesn't love anyone making them the actual PERFECT vessel or that Nosk didn't know much about the knight

@@thebattlebee the main thing that was off was that there were no subtitles in the lifeblood section except the number. Those subtitles were in the collector section, mixed in with the correct ones.

I think that when I obtain fully awaken Dream nail I could see the dreams of snail shaman,white lady and that characters that when you dream nail them they know that you are seeing their mind
