BurbsDesperado I'm really enjoying the new vocalist Marcus right now, even though he only has one studio song with them, but I saw Northlane live last week and Marcus absolutely killed it. I think Northlane either way has a very bright future.

Sorry dude, LSD is in LSD, psilocybin is in Magic Mushrooms. DMT is present in a lot of plantation, though to be extracted and taken recreationally, certain acacia trees (In context with Australia) are potent in the psychedelic compound and therefore the bark of them are used.

this guy is a once in a life time vocalist, you don't really see many heavy bands with a positive message that doesn't come off as fake or corny and most of them buy into the Rockstar mindset. But not Adrian man I wish this dude was still in the band.

If you think about it most musicians had to struggle to the top to achieve something that's a once in a lifetime opportunity and millions of them have become successful. So its not a once in a lifetime chance., its a powerful goal that can be done using your heart., body., and soul :)

But my music and my lyrics will always be very important. And your right, many musicians rly have to fight tooth and nail just to actually accomplish something. Because theres way too much mainstream music out there. Most artists sound exactly the same, Come to think of it metal is the only thing keeping the music industry intact. Their not looking for the unique and different no they want whats popular. This is why metal has so much more meaning than the mainstream artists do. The people in the metal community know how to write music thats not only meaningful to them but to the people who listen to it. Northlane has a big future ahead of em. Im curious to see what they'll do nxt.

Man, words can't describe how important this song and dream awake are. Such beautiful instrumentals, such beautiful and spiritual and metaphysical messages. I often play it to motivate myself to do great things in this lifetime, and live as a hero. I discovered northlane around 2 years ago (when i was 17), and they have had a truly amazing impact on my life. Play so many of their songs when running/meditating too and my health and mind are so much better now. Thank you for creating this masterpiece, northlane.

I think the "DJENT"(syncopated rythms) genre can fit very well with this kind of concept,also the riffs are really 'cosmic',it really matches the vibe of oness,cosmic cousciousness.
They might all be into this subject,so i dont see the vocals as separate at all from the instrumental.

I think the first part of this song is about DMT. Considering Adrian enjoys listening to Terence Mckenna, I'm sure he's gotten curious and tried it before. If it is about DMT, he would never publicly admit it and I don't blame him. Though I could be wrong.

He has admitted to drug use but that's not the point it's about the experiences you take away from it not how much dmt you smoked if all you do is brag about the drugs you do than you've missed the whole point. If you take the time to read through all of the lyrics of Singularity it is undoubtably influenced by psychedelic experiences. In fact it's almost a chronological recollection of someone experiencing ego death. It becomes far more clear if you have experienced these feelings on psychedelics for yourself and really makes this album resonate that much more deeply in you.
