One thing that's interesting to me is how the Orcs didn't recognize Senshi since they go off of scent more than anything. Normally Senshi always smells the same, but Marcille made him take a very thorough bath, which changed his scent completely and made him unrecognizable to the orcs
yeah that's very neat things about dunmesh is how other races sometime dont recognize the different from other races, like they most of the time can't guess each other age
@anggarendy4129 yeah nobody in the main party could accurately guess eachother's age, outside of Laios'. Senshi as a dwarf can live for centuries, Chuck is a grown half-man looking like a child and Marcille's elvish lifespan is virtually infinite
For anyone confuses on why the dragon became a part of falin. As marcille said, ordinary monsters don't have their souls attached to their bodies when they die but the dragon was essentially the lunatic magician's "pet". That's why he put a soul binding spell on its body. Then as you know falins body was made of dragon meat which in turn combined their souls.
I had the same thought too watching this for the first time, but then I realized "wait, how old is she?". She's 14, btw. Then I thought something like "shorter lifespans, age of maturity for orcs is 14, harkness test, etc." and then immediately decided to shut down that train of thought. It's a slippery slope, especially in medieval fantasy situations. Her older brother, the chief with multiple wives and a child, he's 21.
@@pwojo9776 the series actually plays on this a bit. There's a few jokes about how long-lifed races dating short-lifed races is frowned upon and the people that do are called "shotacons" (an in-universe abbreviation of "short lived species complex" clearly intended as a gag)
the older brother orc also kinda tricked them since he told every orc not to mess with the dragon because he knew the lunatic magician will go after anyone who messes up with his monsters and yet, he never even warned them about the lunatic magician
I love how the men are working through their emotions and our best worst girl Marcille is passed out from the gack and the shock of losing her wife (Falin) again. Also, I don't blame Senshi for just staring at the ham rolling by. If I saw 4 logs of bologna rolling past me like fucking Katamari Damacy, I'd need some time to process that too.
the funny thing is that the Magician is still waiting for the king, but if you recall episode 1's first scene when the dungeon is revealed to the surface-dwellers, it IS the king telling ppl that if they kill the Magician, they can have the kingdom/dungeon... and he turns to dust, so the guy will be waiting for quite a while :'D
Fast travel magic is a thing. We saw the old man use it to get back to the surface and Falin used it in the first episode when they got attacked by the dragon to evacuate the others.
tho if we pay attention, they're clearly different types of teleportation magic, grandpa gnome was kinda like a save point, two points connecting, and it seemed the return point had to be set beforehand, while Falin spell seemed like a Warp outside the dungeon and from what they mentioned, it seemed she has no need to set a return point, but she needs control to finese the landing
11:59 We see Tansu's party use a return spell to get to the surface. There's other rules and uses for teleportation magic but talking more about it is a spoiler.
paying close attention to how the gnome grandpa returned his party to town, you can see clearly it works like a save point, the painting is the return point and he kinda like bent the space and connected the two spots, not a manga reader but I do pay close attention plus have seen it in other animes/mangas
- There was a bit of a hint that the Dragon was also in Falin before the Mad Mage called her that where if you payed attention to when Falin punched Laois away notice that her left eye is closed the same eye that they stabbed the Dragon’s eye before defeating it - Leed is voiced by Michiyo Murase who also voices Sucy (Little Witch Academia), Marie (BNA), Jill (Deca-Dence), Sachino (Megalo Box), Sophocles (Pokemon Masters), Garie (Symphogear), Uexkull & Cocona’s classmate C (Flip Flappers), Sylwia (Schwarzesmarken), Kubo (Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken), Sabu (Ramen Akaneko), & many more. @@rRekko Hey I understand that everyone is not a fan of Eng dub (like yourself) but one I do like it just as the original & just to point out there are definitely people who like to watched the Eng dub of any anime, so all wanted to do was just add that fun fact
She's a humanoid pig raised on low nutrition and the wild so her maturity rate would be double ours. Like Chilchuck is like a 52 year old divorcee trying to establish a union in human standards but his real age is 29. And nothing about Marcille reads 50.
i know you guys are almost nearing the finale..i would recommend to watch/react to season 2 teaser along with finale episode..it would have a good post credit scene vibe
1:35 Thats a very good question Roshi. Keep asking questions like that, they will be answered. No spoilers, but as a manga finisher the worldbuilding in this anime is airtight and everything matters.
I mean, _this one_ technically won’t get necessarily answered directly, as nobody in-universe pokes at that specific order of events, but it’s a good question to ask.
Fast extract magic is a thing, but either Marcille can't do that, or it just doesn't make sense for her to do it. Given how things have progressed thus far, I'd assume trying to use it to fast travel from the surface to a base camp in the dungeon is not a viable option. Otherwise adventurers would be able to get deeper faster, while staying longer with rapid resupply. As for why? Well the Mad Mage would probably take serious interest in base camps/forward operating bases... namely by tearing through them with heavyweight monsters. Though there might well be other reasons.
Don't spoil this for yourselves. Don't look anything up. Its so good tho. Just wait for it. Notice that Fallin sometimes has one eye closed because that's the dragon's injured eye. She had it closed when she hit Laios and open when the Mad Mage pulled up. You can see more examples in previous episodes, too.
The mage is a guy, his clothes are from a very specific but real moment in fashion. The author is a big world builder and if you're like me and get a bit too into a piece of media sometimes you can find a lot of supplemental information on the setting and character design choices.
"Really don't know where this is going..." Summarize the series well. Solid adventure.. they only intend to explore the dungeon, but got to meet the dragon. Then, they just want to save Falin, but got to meet the Mad Mage. Then, they just want to continue save Falin... but...? Great written series
oh you thought beating the Red Dragon was the end of the story? nah this is where the worldbuilding begins also in case anyone is confused on the Falin situation: the Lunatic Magician directly controls the Red Dragon and gave it a soul so that it could be brought back to serve again if it ever died, and in resurrecting Falin with the Dragon's flesh Marcille accidentally merged their souls so Falin is currently both herself and also the dragon, which is why the Lunatic Magician can control her

Man, the editor's got that pavlovian response to Roshi's "hear me out".
Biggest "...ohh" I've ever had in my life. We all thought he was gonna go degenerate lol.
Dude I fucking LOVE the editor. They don't interject too often but god DAMN when they do, it's hilarious! Peak use of that gif XD
