- after 8 months of living out of a suitcase...i finally signed a lease! move with me to nyc
a lot of you already guessed it, but i moved to new york city! join me (& deku) as we arrive to the city & get adjusted in our new home. a good chunk of this moving vlog is just me procrastinating packing & oversharing my thoughts....but i hope you enjoy. thank you to every single one of you for being on this journey with me & for your patience/support as i have bounced around over the past few months trying to figure out what is next for me. i can't wait to take y'all with me through this next chapter!!

Also just a tip since you haven’t been living in cold/ dry climates often from what I can tell: in the winter it gets very dry and cold and dark and stays that way for months, so some essential winter gear you’re gonna want:
- good chapstick
-humidifier
-ice scraper if you have a car
-lotion
- vitamin D if you get S.A.D
-sun lamp
- some form Vitamin C for immune support
- tea always recommended
- heated blanket/thick comforter
-layers clothes wise!
It’s also about to be spring so you may be able to get away w not getting all this immediately but feb/March is definitely still cold around here. Congrats on your move!
Come to DC next girlie! It’s a hidden gem. Lots of diversity, free things to do like museums and events. Great food, as well as a mix of city life and nature. Hiking like 20 min outside of the city!
I actually lived in DC for a bit a few years ago!! I was literally just thinking last night about how much I miss going to the museums out there! & the brunch vibes out there are amazing
or technically i lived in arlington but i have fam in maryland so will def be back 🙏🏽

Lynette, I hope you have an opportunity "to live" in New York -- form a social circle, join a club, take a class or workshop, etc. . . . As an LA Resident, my sense of your LA experience was that you were in a "bubble," navigating the area, but not actually engaging with other people and finding a community . . . Even if we don't see it on your channel, let us know if you find a 'community' in New York. All the best.

The best thing I ever invested in as a single person is desk fans. I buy the electric them literally let them run in on medium in every room to drown out background noise and Neighbors. They help me sleep also. I use Ceiling fans to cool me off when I don't run my AC in the Summer. I also purchased Ear plugs and Bluetooth headphones for my Music or loud Movies. My Neighbors are all older and extremely quiet, but with the fans, they can't even hear me & vice versa.

This is right on time for me. I’ve been wanting to move to LA for so long but then after I visited NYC last summer I started thinking about moving there instead but I still probably spend a few months in both to see where I like best. I love how you just get up and go and do what’s best for you in the moment!

Welcome to the city! Would definitely recommend you keep using the laundry service over a laundry mat (ends up costing about the same) and don’t let any fabric touch your heaters! My old mattress literally had burn marks on it from my heater and I didn’t even know
