BC suspension stuff is usually pretty good for the price. Little tip when doing the rears, given you are changing the springs too, always remove the spring first, before the shock absorber. The spring holds the LCA under tension the whole time, if you remove this tension it means a lot more control when changing the shock absorber and therefore no lost nuts inside the inner guard.
Those top mounts should be multi drilled and tapped so you can take that hex bolt for the camber adjuster and put it closer to the other one giving you more neg adjustment can also do the same if you need positive camber..
You can use your stock headlight level rod. Just get the headlight level rod from your parts car pull the ball joint with the threaded section and swap it on the side connecting to the M3 control arm and put a nut on the other side to hold it in place.
well done with the coilovers the headlight adjuster fix can be done by clamping with 2 bolts 2 pieces on 6mm aluminum plate 20mm wide on the control arm just make the front one 15 or 20 mm higher so you can drill a hole to mount the adjuster rod. have you thought about putting the soda stream bottle on oh rielly to cool the intercooler hmmm more power cheers glenn
you probably already know but the rear shock collar is to adjust the shock travel to make sure bump stop contacts before wheel contacts body since everyones setup can be quite different wrt fitment, height etc. - as in, shock on, wheel on, jack it up and down to set the travel, then spring goes in you put out so much content man, don't burn yourself out! i think people will understand when you've got so much on your plate also it's 0.75* static -ve camber from the lower front m3 arms
To keep it simple, the callipers are fine, the discs have corroded. The brake lines and hardware has corroded. The people selling them have very very limited knowledge of brakes and the cars in general. 10/10 would not recommend buying them from china.
there should be 3 threaded spaces on the camber plate where 2 bolts on either side are taking up the inner most and outer most threaded spaces, to get extra camber, take out the inner screws and insert them into the middle threaded part, for less camber, take out the outter screws and insert them into the middle threaded part- if that makes sense. or if you can spec it fine without moving them then you're not too far off, mine didn't need to be moved I could get my adjustment fine.
Can't wait to see the Koi's fully done ! I'm waiting for ordering some chinese 763m in 19 for mine. I hope i will be able to fit 245/35r19 in front on 8.5J ET35 and 255/35r19 at the back on 9.5J ET24, still wondering if they will fit. I do not need that much width at the back, it's my daily, but since the car is heavy i'm scared that rims may split, i prefer to give it more side profile.
Thanks for the video! I've been running BC coilies BR series for nearly two years on my e90.. Can't fault them other than a faint knocking noise from the front over bumps/potholes. Let me know if you hear similar noises from the front!
Hi guys, I'm looking at getting vogtland spring for my e93 heard great things about them they lower the car 40mm front 20mm back, what size spacers do you use? Is it 10mm front 12mm rear? Keep up the good work guys!
I want to upgrade my suspension. I'm looking at kits compatible with M adaptive suspension. I was under the impression your E92 was xDrive. You'll trash the axle with the M3 control arms.
Hi guys, so I bought new sachs shocks (oem shocks) and vogtland springs to lower the car, the drivers side (rhd) is lower than the passenger side, all arms look newish, and bushes look good, drop links are sloppy though, could it be that? Or the sway bar?
I really wanted to try them, being the mid range option. They do handle really well, but probabaly a little too stiff for daily use. After spending time on them, i would have preferred BR in this car.
@@ZeroTo60Tube really informative, as I’m changing rear sway bar, just purchased some poly bushed front M3 control arms and now just trying to get a feel for what BC racing coilovers to go for. BC Racing suggested BR when I spoke to them, but If I’m honest I’m keen on the thick RM shock shaft, but think it might be too much for street use also.
Gonna have a chat to the dude at the alignment shop. I wanted a more handling based front setup. But then want the rears to work in a straight line. Guard clearance is also an issue for the wide rears. We’ll see we’ll dee
Zero toe at the front and a little bit of toe in at the back is a good starting point for track / sporty driving (keeps the rear stable on the brakes, and the front will be keen to turn in). On the road I find zero toe at the front a bit nervous on the highway so I adjust the track rod ends 1/8th turn each side for slight toe in. Front wheel toe is really easy to adjust to find a setup you like.
This was my initial concern. The BC use stiffer springs than the Gecko. The geckos were definitely not too stiff, they felt like stock suspension. In fact much nicer than Declans M2 stock suspension. This is why i wanted to try the BC DS. SHould know what they are like soon.
Please make a video of u driving the 335 i with new control arms ur videos are very informative also have u thought of adding the m3 prop shaft and subframe to the 335i?
I've just ordered the M3 setup and b16 setup, what front strut tops do you recommend? I'm in the UK and looking for close to standard as possible for ride comfort
Did you use a spreading tool to remove/install the front struts to the knuckles? Ones like this will work fine ( images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/81xydFi5ajL._AC_SL1500_.jpg ) and make the job much easier and quicker and doesn't scratch up the finish on the struts :-)
Appreciate that Gab, really do. A lot of it is my fault, i am being contacted by like minded people, who need help with a car problem. Haha so we try and work it out then all of sudden we're sharing car stories from 10 years ago. That across 20-30 people a day quick dissolves a lot of time.

Make sure to load the chassis before you torque the control arm bolts, looks amazing nice work

Spot on. Yeah I did move them, as far as they can go before hitting the strut tower.
@@ZeroTo60Tube nice all the cambers 😁🤘
Zip ties work for the headlight leveller. I have that on genuine m3 arms on my 140 lol

Is it possible for a “long term” review or update on the big brake kit from d-ass

What wheels and spec are those ? The stance is dope
They are f80 M3 wheels with 15mm spacers.
Thanks for the video!

My BR's have the same noise in the front and it drives me crazy, I always thought that I left something loose.

12mm all round with the genuine 437m wheels. However rear guards are rolled and slightly pulled.

Hey did you tighten the Whole arm bushings before you put weight on the Suspension??
I didnt in this video, but we loosened them at the wheel alignment place and re-torqred them there. I cant get under it on the floor here.
You should upgrade to the rear m3 control arms. I have done both front and back and the back in my opinion are so much better

BC's look like a nice bit of kit.
Considering they are entry level, they really to look well made. The paint and anodising is good quality.
Shocks and coil overs are tricky as heck. Worst thing is having to do them more than once. I'm guilty to have done them 3 times on this car haha
