Well done video. You state that the T1 will put a slight hollow grind. I thought the T1 produced a flat grind.

Thanks. I (Tom) might be wrong. Dan, one of our Sharpening Specialists, also thinks it gives a flat grind. I'll have to do a bit more sharpening and pull my magnifying glass out 🔎🔪

Nice, I'll get my Tormek T1 soon and so I hope that I can sharpen my chinese kitchen cleaver too! How many sharpening draws did you need initially on each side?

Every knife is going to be a little different. You want to do enough to make sure you've raised a burr. The first sharpening will probably take the longest, as you're likely to be setting a new bevel.

Correct me If I'm wrong but 225 grams is pretty Dull? especially for a ~17 degree edge. Also I think you would benefit to do Lets say 2-5 strokes on each side of blade until you get a burr. Not only on one side of the knife and then switch, as your apex will be offset by quite a bit. I have only ever used a Hapstone Black R2 to Sharpen my knifes and can get them razor sharp it just takes awhile , so I am seriously considering buying the T1 but was hoping for sharper results....
