A very popular head cannon is Ripp being bffs with Johnny and Ophelia, and in some type of a three-way relationship, his father disapproving not only his sexual orientation but his fondness of aliens.
Tank generally follows his father's footsteps, but some people like him to redeem himself and not follow his father's values.
Buck usually ends up with Jill. In his bio it says he wants to be a pet stylist, so maybe he ends up with a bunch of dogs, or doing hair. He's definitely not traditionally masculine like his dad.
General Buzz usually remarries and has more children before aging up. Many people pair him up with Kristen Loste since they're both athletic.
When it comes to the relationship between Buzz and his sons I kind of imagine it being similar to that of Adam Groff and Mr Groff from S*x Education if you’ve seen that show. So the idea of keeping the house strict and little personality is very spot on! Loved what you did with the place!
Only recently I found out why this house looks so boxy and depressing. Apparently it is supposed to look like American military barracks, which explains a lot.

You made it look really beautiful. 🥰 I love your layout, you brought the essence of the original house into the modern times and made it look more realistic. I love the little details such as the radiators, all of the wall decorations in Buck's room, and the downstairs bathroom (such a nice touch of realism). I'm also a fan of the table behind the sofa, really clever 😍
For someone who claims to not know a lot about the family, you really nailed the house: especially Buzz and Tank's rooms in my opinion. The colors, furniture, decorations, everything about those rooms was spot on. I also enjoyed the more Mediterranean style of the house exterior; I had never considered that style for this house but it looks great!
I think I have mostly played this family as Tank following in Buzz's footsteps in the past, but I have seen these amazing pictures of him on Tumbr that has really made me rethink his character. My absolute favourite is him reimagined as a ballet dancer. I'll share that with you on Discord 😊

I always have a problem with what to do with the Grunts as well, they don't really have any meaningful backstory like other Strangetown families and that makes it hard to choose any direction for them. In my game Ripp always becomes a bisexual vampire rock star and Tank tries to piss off Johnny by seducing Ophelia or falls in love with one of the alien girls and gets disowned by his father. It's also worth mentioning that Lyla divorced Buzz before she was killed by Olive, so Buzz was probably always a bad husband. They may also seek revenge on Olive if they would find out of what she did.
I wish I could build like you. My houses are always soooo boring although not as bad as the Grunts' house.
absolutely love this build! I just madeover this house for the first time ever with the challenge of keeping the original walls and using the color green! I also kept little touches of decor from the wife and tried to make the house less like a home. I never messed with the premade families before now and I'm having a wonderful time~

I have such a love hate relationship with the Grunt family. I actually have this head cannon about Buzz and the reason that he hated aliens/PT9 so much is because he is secretly in love with him. So he feuds to hide his feelings 👀 it doesn’t really work if you look at PSP sims lore because I’m pretty sure he kidnaps Pascal’s baby Tycho to run tests on him 😂

I've been playing Strangetown lately, and rebuilding the houses is almost essential... my grunt family has some money now, so time to say goodbye to small bedrooms with cots
Amazing build as always Klau! And I agree, the original observatory tower is so ugly, so you did a great job at remodeling it.
My headcannon is that Buzz Grunt (the father) wanted to spy on his enemies (The smiths & Olive Specter), so that's why he built an observatory tower. Maybe he'll be abducted by aliens by using the more expensive telescope and got pregnant with an alien baby? Even though he despises aliens (that's why he's enemies with Pol#9 Smith) because he's an alien racist 😂😂😂 But yeah, he would learn to love his alien offspring.
For his love interest, maybe hook him up with Kristen Loste? (one of the Singles girls) They have chemistry together.
For Tank Grunt (The eldest child), in my head cannon, he would want to follow his father's footsteps and be a General just like his dad. But then Buzz's expectations are too high, so maybe he would have a burden from that? And he would likely go to private school, have a part time Teen job, and would also go to college so he would impressed his dad. And yes, he's also an alien racist because he's enemies with Johnny Smith (Pol#9's son) just like his dad 😂. Tank also fights a lot with Ripp Grunt.
As for romantic aspects, he doesn't really have one, maybe Erin Beaker? (Also one of the Singles girls) They really have chemistry together. But it's up to you, I usually paired up Erin Beaker with Vidcund Curious 😂
As for Ripp Grunt (2nd child), in my head cannon, he's definitely rebelling against his own father. He kept his hair long, he's always sloppy and lazy, a total opposite of his dad and Tank. He's always bickering and arguing with them but he gets along with Buck though. Ripp's hobby is always Arts, so maybe he'll be an artist when he grew up. He would also wanted to go to college along with his best friends Johnny Smith and Ophelia Nigmos.
As for romantic aspects, he's a romance sim, so he would most likely would be woohooing with many sims 😂😂 Just make sure he's not married to anyone other than another Romance sim. 😂
And lastly for Buck Grunt (the youngest child), he have a hidden Popularity token aspiration, so making him a Popularity sim would be great. In my head cannon, he have always wanted to be friends with his dad, and would also likes for his approval and attention because Buzz always focuses on Tank and always argues with Ripp but never really pays any attention to poor Buck. Maybe making Buzz and Buck friends would be awesome.
Also according to his bio, Buck wants to be a pet stylist. So maybe when he is an adult, I would make him own a pet shop 😍. That would be perfect for him because he also loves animals and had interest in them too. And maybe he could convince his dad to adopt a puppy. Buzz would of wanted a military kind of doggo for the boys and to guard his house 😂😂😂😂😂
As for romantic aspects, I would definitely paired him up with Jill Smith (the youngest daughter of Pol#9 Smith). They would definitely make a cute couple together and they are friends now when you first play the Grunt household. And both have the hidden Popularity aspiration token.
But then Buzz would not approved of this relationship because his son would be marrying his enemy's daughter. This would definitely causes some dramas 😂😂
Lastly, you keep on doing you Klau. Just do what you like. ♥️💕
In one of my play throughs Tank, the oldest kid actually made up with Johnny Smith once they went to the university, and his LTW was to be in military so in that regard he followed his father’s steps. Ripp the middle kid started going out with Ophelia after she cheated with him during Johnny’s birthday, but then they broke up and Ripp started dating Jill once she grew up. Buck and Jill also hooked up at some point but Jill kept going back to Ripp so Buck just married a townie. The drama possibilities in this family is truly wild :D.

I always like making Buzz's kids all rebel against him in some sort of way and force him to face his biases and hate. I usually end up making Tank try to fall in his father's footsteps, but then he either ends up falling in love with an alien (Stella Terrano?) in college or I make him fall in love with a man. Either way his golden child always falls lol. Then I make Ripp poly with Ophelia and Johnny because I think they are all so cute together and I can't [picture Ripp settling down with just one person. Then I always make Buck with Jill Smith which of course his father would also hate. Sometimes I try to redeem him and make the General fall in love again with someone, but that someone would likely challenge his beliefs and reconnect with his kids, but sometimes I just let him die alone the asshole.
You have a game changer type, I'm sure your channel will grow a lot 🤩
In my fantasies General Buzz Grunt is brought to court and has to answer for the numerous war crimes he commited in cold blood.

Im not a very much of a fan of this family, but have a few headcanons on it, and almost every one of them includes one of the sons being gay, which seems really tragic when it comes to their father, who is very strict (I always end up drowning him in a pool tho 👀)

In my game, I have ACR, and Tank's gender preference was randomized and he's gay. The story I wrote for it was that Tank is mean/hates everyone who gets to be themselves because he will never get to, as his dad is militant. It's kinda sad but it fits
I also want Tank and Ripp to become friends when they're in college because I think they'd understand each other now. I have plans, but I'm taking a break from strangetown
I also got General Buzz (the father) a new wife, because I want him to have a happy marriage. My hope is that she can teach him how to be a more loving and compassionate dad, rather than a jerk

Where did you get the ts4 wall hangings in the kid's room? There's one with a bunch of crayon pictures handing from it and a document organizer one. I have them, but the shadows are all messed up so I never end up using them.

I usually have tank trying really hard to be like his dad, but he ends up softer, wanting to be a good example for his baby sibling and eventually reconcilling with his other brother, bisexual disaster ripp who falls in love with johnny
I'm having Tank go straight into military and then Olive will kill Buzz and he'll probably go into ballet instead and actually find out what HE wants separate from his father.
