Journey of Recycling - Glass Bottles and Jars

Ever wondered what happens to the glass bottles and jars which you recycle at home?
Glass bottles and jars form one of the six material groups accepted via kerbside recycling collections from local authorities in Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton and Wirral.
If you live in one of these areas, then the glass bottles and jars which you recycle at home are placed in a recycling bin with other co-mingled household recyclable materials and delivered to a Materials Recovery Facility.
