Patricia’s first mistake was not telling her son, Christopher, what she heard what Sarah said in the restroom. Why didn’t Sarah go to her father for financial assistance, I thought he was well off; and why didn’t Patricia talk to Christopher about the money? Come on Patricia, open your mouth! Sarah accepts $1,000 a month from Patricia but calls them poor! Condescending is putting it mildly! Again, Patricia needs to have a serious conversation with Christopher. Uhm, Patricia needed to make a phone call to Christopher! Why should Patricia punish Robert for the actions of his daughter Sarah? Yet another private investigator! And the kid’s not Christopher’s. Boy, this story has everything. I thought the kid wasn’t his? Well that was generous. Too late for apologies Sarah. Had to play this at 1.5 to get through it.
I won't say that nobody is this rude in real life but it is EXTREMELY RARE. I have a step mother that I very strongly dislike and the people in these TH-cam stories are so off the charts @$$H0L👁$H that by comparison I actually LIKE her.
My response to your comment got deleted by the censor for being "offensive". I was brutally insulting "Sarah". Now you cannot insult fictional characters even when they are horrible and deserve it.
"Sarah" does not love her child. It is not possible to love a child and abuse the child's father (her husband) and the grand parents. When a parent truly loves their child they want to provide the child with as much stability, love and support as possible and alienating the child's father and grand parents is detrimental to that.
An apology for mistreating someone based on lack of knowledge is only valid if the mistreatment would have been appropriate had they been right originally. In this story EVEN IF the parents were poor and working class and not wealthy like "Sarah" assumed treating them so terribly would have been disgusting. Here is an example of a situation where mistreating someone based on lack of knowledge WOULD be forgivable. If you are in the military and fail to salute a superior officer in public because you did not recognize them due to them wearing regular clothing later apologized for not saluting them due to failure to recognize he would probably say no problem since you do not normally salute civilians. But if you beat the person up or were very rude to them then LATER when apologizing tried to justify it by lack of knowledge it would be meaningless because it is wrong to treat ANYONE like that. I hate these stories where a person tries to justify mistreatment of someone based on social class "Oh I am so sorry, If I had known you were wealthy I would not have treated you that way".
Yes the stories aren’t masterpieces, however neither am I. Now of course Sarah is not ideal but who is? My pov Sarah knows what she wants and willing to stand up for it. High marks in my book. How did her father rise up to his position allowing his company to be subject to that exposure? Christopher’s mother where is her starch? Where is that customary Asian slap in the face? Why are we being portrayed as timid do gooders? We will see how far that goes. My money is on Sarah. She is authentic even with moral turpitude. At least thank you for that. Keep up the good work, looking forward for more.
I am confused about something? I know cultures are different in different parts of the world but is there any culture in the world where it is considered appropriate for a person to not consider 2 people FAMILY when um... She is um... MARRIED TO THEIR SON and um... her child is their GRAND CHILD?? I am curious what he definition of "family" is? When she needs MONEY from them at some point and is begging their forgiveness in an attempt to get it will they be family then? In what dictionary (my personal favorite by far is Merriam Webster) is "family" specifically defined as someone you rely on for money??
@@PurpleAngelLinda It is the quality of how they speak, poor emphasis, and as the story quality is not good (not expecting literary masterpieces, but come on ....) that makes it impossible to listen to. Speeding up will only mean it wastes less time, it won't improve the story telling quality.
At 10:22, I got so sick of the "Sarah" character, I had to stop reading. I'm sure she got what was coming to her later in the story, bc that's how these stories turn out, but I've decided I'm OVER reading abt parasites... especially those who take advantage of family members. I hope it really did end well....
The A.I. voice is the auditory version of "uncanny valley". Just sounds soulless unlike a real human voice (like that lady on Revenge Show and R Girl Relationships).
Once again, a preoccupation with wealth/poverty. I am truly put off.
Her father is a CEO but she won’t or can’t ask him for money?
She is lying.
And she would ask “poor people” for money?
This is so slow it will put you to sleep moving on
Then speed it up!
Click on the cog icon. I put it to 1.5 speed.
Stupid mother finds out bride-to-be is a witch and keeps it from her son. STupid. That was her chance to save her son's future and she blew it.
Stupid really story, senseless

@@manxkin your comment made me think of the American soap opera - Soap. :-)
@@suewashere I loved SOAP!
Why didn’t you tell your son what you heard .why must you keep quiet ,you did your son harm by not telling him before his marriage
Had to speed up, just to be able to listen to it.
These parents are beyond simple.
Stop sending money and demand back the money already sent.
NO. The money she already gave them is basically a gift. I never demand a gift back. It is about honor. It is enough to just not help them anymore.
Do people actually live and sound this rude. Unbelievable.
What a bunch of idiots. Rude. 😮

Definitely not based in the U.S. if the parents are bowing to their son's girlfriend and the girlfriend wouldn't be prostrating herself.
Obviously Asian. Don't know why they bother with western names.
Asian AI used by Asian "authors" ridiculously using Western names for obvious Asian characters "living" in an Asian culture.

I had to set the playback speed to 1.25x to make the narrative sound less automated.

Have that water checked, is it just water or has someone added an unknown substance to it?
The narration is so slow.
Are these stories from Asia? There is a lot of bowing low to apologize or prostrating themselves.
why do you give money to your daughter in law without asking his husband if they really need money , your story is not so sensible

Overused story plot. Not US. Speaker way too slow. Boring
More unreasonable than I had imagined??? My god, what a paucity of imagination!
I hate to say it, but that was a terrible reader. She constantly paused in the wrong places, taking the enjoyment out of the story.
Who bows in the USA?
all workers doing min wage zero hour zero benefits causal work?
It’s not in the USA obviously. I don’t mind that, I just hate the AI that can’t read.
Why assume that it's in the USA?
Students of certain martial arts like karate and certain religions might require it. Other than that almost never.
To slow boring, hard to listen to the end
The names and language are English, but the actions are ?Korean? Bowing, kneeling on the floor are not natural western reactions.
The slow narration is so boring 🥱 speed it up a bit
Why would you let your son marry someone like that. This AI voice is terrible
The narration is poor and boring😮
This story is flat and boring downright boring Rubbish.

Ok. I get it lesson given but AI is disgusting. It's like someone speaking English as a 2nd language.
