Wow, it's eye-opening to see her realizing how much freedom she has now and questioning if she should have made this change years ago. I wonder if these recurring themes in stories are reflective of a broader cultural norm in Japan, where women endure silently in marriages and shoulder all household responsibilities. Is it really expected that wives handle all the housework alone while husbands never pitch in?
@@ELSIEMacPhee-kx9vg I would be surprised too - and I've lived here all my life but have never seen or heard any attitudes like those described in these stories!!
Maybe the wives should go get a job that earns as much and requires some heavy labor. Almost every job I've had required me to be outside(I live in. Phoenix AZ) all day and hours could last up to 16 per day(not often) without notice. I'll stay home get bored and go cheat.
Family can not control your happiness. Matters not your age. Free and happy is greater than great. Very good story. Live as married with no love. Sucks.
These women are treated like slaves, no respect no remorse, until money is involved. such despicable people. As most of these people are out doing what they want when they want, while the women's lives are literally taken by the selfishness of these people, you're not living your best lives, until you have gone through the hardships your enduring, life is too short for these outcomes, as soon as everything starts going south, that's when it's time to leave, not 20yrs later.
It is getting so old in these stories how the In-Laws are always portrayed in being so evil, there is just as many in-laws that are kind, loving and even compassionate, mine for example treat me like I am their own child. Being someone that was an orphan and never knew what a family was an only seeing other families from the outside in. Furthermore, many husbands and wives are loving to one another. I just want once to see a story where such love and kindness are prevalent.
These things are "written" by AI so it's very formulaic. There's no creativity. "Created and read" by AI. I keep looking, HOPING for something different, written by a real person, sadly still not found one!
These are not designed to show the good ones, 99% of them at least it seems. Lately however I have happened on some stories that are uplifting & positive with good endings. However, I for one, find in reading story after story of the abuse & demeaning treatment it is helping me to work through my own 24 years of abuse by my ex. And I'm not Asian but I am a Baby Boomer with a whole heirarchical structure of its own where the man was reverred & the woman was secondary; raised as a child in an abusive family by parents who devalued me & crushed my spirit early on then I had the older sister who was madly loved & generally perfect, and I in stark contrast was not, I entered into my marriage already devaluing myself etc. I was a prime candidate for being further abused. Listening to these stories it really brings home to me the difficulty I had in both my family of origin & by my husband & some of his older siblings. I've been in therapy on & off my whole adult life but it has only been in the last couple of years have I received significant help by Psychiatry & top notch psychotherapy & general counseling plus a medication regimen. Hang in there everyone.
As someone that came out of an Verbally Abusive Marriage, (from husband ..@....I Dont Know HOW she held out for SOOO Long!!…Bussiness or NOT…it would have not, I would have been in jail, or my grave!
Really! She is now figuring out how much freer she is and wondering if she should have this years ago? I don’t know if all these writers get together to write about the same things or if it is the Japanese culture to suffer in their marriage and keep their mouths shut. Apparently it is the wife who should do all of the housework - properly! Husbands never help? I am not Japanese as you can tell but is this their culture in these stories and are MIL’s so bad and controlling?
@@jolynnstevens4577These days. When married women can continue careers, it is hard for women to just choose less income. Still, some housework is necessary. It is hard to believe that so many career women are still expected to do all housework and expected to do it as well as full time housewives is mind blowing.
A good and honorable person, after making a commitment, will see it through. It may be hard to imagine (I've only imagined it with MY very loving parents), but it happens.
This usually hits home with me, my parent in-laws were compassionate, and good with me. After their daughter, my wife passed away due to cancer. My sibling in-laws were horrible with me, greedy and money grubbing.
DNF. Good attempt but writer needs to work on story development. I would like to know why their marriage of convenience was beneficial to both families. It’s not good enough to just write both families own businesses. There are plenty of families that own businesses but they don’t have arranged marriages for their children.
It would if this video came out closer to paydays for someone on a pension. As it stands I will not be Abel to fulfill what is needed to start program . Thank you for your information and time.❤️🇨🇦
Aawwww you don't understand the silent grip of a toxic relationship. An Abuser NEEDS an Abusee. Hurting their partner is their nectar. Abuse is a mind game and the abuser perfects their skill at destroying a persons self worth, their power, their belief in themselves their belief they even deserve better treatment .... the abusee feeling they need to work harder, meet the abusers stated expectations & needs if only they could measure up. In striving to show the abuser their worthiness, at last, & that the abusee deserves to receive from the abuser what the abusee readily gives to others the abused will prove to the abuser they do indeed deserve to be treated as if they have worth, & to be loved. It is about the abusee believing if they could just earn their abusers approval & love....all the things the person in a healthy relationship would just receive simply because their very being merited not being abused. The abusee, doctrinated daily to believe they are defective, lacking, & not good enough, the abusee strives to earn the abusers positive treatment, to be deemed worthy. Truly it is a sick mess, one the abusee, over time, has begun to believe in ... if she/he would just eliminate within themselves the negative elements they possess that makes them undeserving of love & simple kindnesses: appreciation, approval, the abusee works hard to improve themselves so life will be good, they will be accepted, loved & valued. No. It doesn't happen. The cycle of abuse is designed by the abuser for the abusee to only failure. It is just sick AND cruel.
OP should have left her husband to take care of his own mother. She should have gone back home to her parents house and let that rotten turd of a husband figure out his own mother's care.

It's not any better here. You'd be surprised at how many British husbands are of the same opinion.

It's the game since Adam and Eve, the "Eve was made for me" attitude. It happens in all cultures, countries, tribes and colours..

Yep
Don't be like this woman. She knew she don't need him but she still stayed.
Hair is on your head (if you are lucky), an heir is a person to inherit money.
She is free. She well earned her reward. The best is the boot to her X. She would of been a great mom.😊
I am so sorry The way you have been treated God bless and Be with you 🙏🏻✝️☮️🌹💐🌺🍀
Always make a will . There is no automatic inheritance if you make one.
Great story thank-you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I cannot imagine being in a loveless marriage. It would be intolerable.

What the husband did was unforgivable and it shows to be prepared by good legal advice

I've seen quite a few where the in-laws were decent, loving people (and obviously loads who weren't!), but they are there!
Me too.

People sure are mean. He doesn't deserve you.
So many years wasted living a life that was not her own.
Took far too long to get to the point.
She needs to get rid of the dead beat husband.
I'm watching a good story and I get to see animals too, oh my gosh
Life is never over until it is when you are free from this world's problems. It depends on how you live until then.
I big you go girl and enjoy the rest of your life. 😊

You lost me at HER PARENTS, Her inheritance & Husband saying get out don’t come back 🤣🤣🤣🤡🤡🤡
She should have let the police handle this
Thank you Lord she has found great happyness on her own after the divorce years of staying home

This type of stories is asian Pulp Fiction. The original timeline would be between 1945-1979. They just put it in our time.
Why should you care about mil after the abuse she did to you? I can't believe you basically gave up your life to those crappy people.
Ultimately, she was rewarded!

As someone who is about to be 59, the opportunity to withdraw from annuities becomes opportune at 59 minimum .
Why is she still holding on to a heartless man? She doesn't need him.
Freedom feels good even when you are over100 years and the death bed
However , good story. Thank you 😊
Divorce!!!
In Washington state if divorced..husband can claim 50%
Amazing how some women remain passive and motionless for years !
No wonder scoundrels profit of them !
Beautiful story. Thank you!!!
I suggest that she has no children ,in this situation, is fortunate for her.
Whatever she did is no use, after all this happened and she could have adopted children and live that would have been good 😔😔😔
Tapped out at 6 minutes her doormat life was killing me.
😊
I’d leave & go back home
Horrible marriage! DOORMAT DELUX! Sad! 💔
Exactly. Tired of the “Doormat” mentality.
Good for you no money for Larry
When was the last time you saw a bank book for your bank accounts? I haven’t had one since I was a kid 😂
So much problems with your husband and in-laws for so many years and you still there then you look for your problems.
haha! Talk about karma lol. Dude deserves what he got. He never helped his wife in any form or way.
This usually hits home with me, my parent in-laws were compassionate, and good with me. After their daughter, my wife passed away due to cancer. My sibling in-laws were horrible with me, greedy and money grubbing.
Love your kitties 😊

I listen to your stories but must say these women have no sense when selecting a husband and their family specially the MIL.
She didn't choose him he was forced on her not like in the western world.
Why you just did not leave him you had friends they would of helped you

your fault. you keep on doing everything.
Too late for a change in life

Just as well she did!!
This was a challenge to keep up with all the fabricated data. The person who wrote this crap is very bad at math.
What the hell has business got to with marriage. Strange world you live in.
Common sense prevails.....😊
What a depressing life😬
You have no self-respect! If you continue with this silly attitude, you will loose everything.
It's a FAKE story.
What a crock
13:45, hair? Shouldn't that be heir?
She should divorce to Greedy husband
She needed to stand up for herself and grow a backbone.
Are these story's even real ?
NOPE
MAYBE SOME A CLOSE TO REAL LIFE
Well you stayed way too long and his entire family was awful. I would have left him to take care of her. Can’t you get a human to narrate the story.
💰🔥👍💰🔥👍💰🔥👍💰🔥👍💰🔥👍
What is the point in becoming free at 59. Your life is almost entirely over.
No it's not. You've still got plenty of years left. Your just getting into the best years
Yes the bad part
Thats was very stupid of you tostay that long
Never put foe tomorrow what you can do today
You are very sad if 59 is considered old, I’m 71 and still enjoying life. I feel VERY sorry for you
Made me laugh as well
