90% of the jobs I go to for water marks on a ceiling are due to an incorrectly sealed shower., in this video I show you a few examples of showers that have leaked and the reasons why the showers have leak and how to remedy the leaks in the correct fashion.
Often the profiles need to be removed in order to seal the tray correctly before replacing the shower cubicle or shower doors.
The shower cubicle and shower doors should be sealed on the outside only unless recommended otherwise by the manufacturer.
, when resealing a shower the Old sealant has to be removed completely and everything has to be extremely clean and dry.
Goid quality silicone sealent and tools are worth the investment.

Do you fix the side profiles on the walls whilst the silicone is wet on the shower tray? Or do you wait until the shower tray silicone is dry before fitting profiles?

Omg that last shower 🙈🙈 A few cans of multi-solve I’d imagine!! Great video, well explained…agree with other comment…just do it right first, even after installing wrong you must think “this is going to leak” it really baffles me how some so-called installers can do this!

Good video. Don’t you just love leaking shower trays. Such a common problem. Why can’t people do it properly in the first place. Manufacturers make every effort to explain how to do it in their instructions. If can be an expensive job to fix sometimes.

It Really winds me up when it's done wrong. Some bathroom fitters are in and out without researching how to properly install things . As long as the bathroom looks fresh at the end of the install they run with the money and don't answer the phone when a problem arises.

@@thornhillplumbing and why is that? Do plumbers install the tile and/or the screen and don't do it right? Over here in USA, I wouldn't let a plumber TOUCH the damn tile OR the screen or frame. And letting a plumber caulk? Yeah, um...... Not on your life.
@@SomeDumUsrName here in UK the plumber usually fits the tray , then the tiler comes and tiles the walls , and then the plumber returns to seal (caulk) the tray and then fit the screen/enclosure and seal the enclosure correctly.
Unfortunately our plumbers do not have to be qualified so you often have inexperienced/not qualified people doing a lot of our plumbing so it is done wrong a lot of the time.
