Yamaha Bear Tracker Project Part 2

Having problems with the starter not engaging. the 1999 Yamaha Bear Tracker is giving us problems but nothing we can't fix with parts and time.

Don’t know if you corrected this but I notice your missing a shim on your bendix / starter gear ⚙️
Reason is spins freely one way is to compensate for a back fire . I was in the same dilemma . Heck I could probably close my eyes and put everything back together. Smart to purchase two gaskets .

I don't remember but I will be taking back apart because my boy killed the starter clutch again when it had a Carb problem.
