I was so blessed to get to see him at ACL 2021! I have always LOVED George Strait and have never been able to make it to one of his concerts but now I can say I’ve seen him in concert! One day I hope to meet him!
I remember many years ago when George and I were attending the same high school in Pearsall, Texas. His father, was my Science teacher, very nice man always had a smile on his face. George used to go play pool at my brother's billiard place, The Rock House.

I met this singer when he was becoming famous, he used to live in San Marcos Texas back in 1980's. He always parked his bus on a gas station and we will go see him getting off the bus to cheer him up. We will drive by his house too. My younger sister went to school with his daughter before she was killed on Hunter Rd. They always had fresh flowers for her on the side of the road were the car accident happened. That was sad to see. We all knew him in San Marcos. He moved to San Antonio after his daughter tragedy.

@George Strait no sir unfortunately, I have never been to a live "country artist's concert". Yes I play 21 harps. I have for over 50 years now. I also ✍ 🎶 but presently I am not well health wise. My dad played piano by ear. He was a great dad and father. I miss both my parents everyday of my life. Thank you for responding to my comment. I think today's country artists are really southern rock genre musicians. My opinion. I honestly love the blues all types but Etta James or Bonnie Raitt. Intelligent by far better than some 3 minute radio playable song! I just love music in general. It soothes the soul.
