Angelina’s singing can easily make tears come to your eyes from your soul, deep down.
And when she did a spell on you, you’re nine years and two months old, she rings the song herself. She’s passing out what she calls the wish list the Director she’s changing the way she wants the band to play it. She may need a little girl in the room, but she runs the whole show. They call her the boss because they respect her musical prodigy she speaks three language and English is her third language. She’s from Norway and she is wonderful.
She is probably the greatest vocalist of all time. A big call but after spending 3 years listening to mind numbingly beautiful renditions from this truly unique young lady I am confident in this opinion.Frankly I don't give a toss if anyone disagrees.Thanks for a terrific reaction.Don't mind me,I have always had a bad attitude.

Welcome to Angelina's world! Born in 2006 in Norway, she is 9-10 years old here. This is a rendition of the original song by Screamin' Jay Hawkins. Angelina always pays homage to the original song she covers, while adding the unique vocal elements she alone seems to possess. She has also written her own songs which you may want to react to, as well. Angelina Jordan is on a league of her own. She's 9 here in this performance. Tackling a Screamin Jay Hawkins version of this song which definitely the hardest one. But damn she just took it like it's an everyday thing for her. Angelina Jordan is an old soul who loves to sing and listen to the great old songs from the past. She's mainly a jazz blues singer but can definitely fit in any genre you will probably think for her. She competed and won the Norway's Got Talent at the age of 7 & 8. She's very well known with her impressive low register. But can definitely belt it out if the song requires. One good thing about Angelina is that she's not a fan of doing vocal acrobats just to impress people. She always make sure to highlight the song first and what is all about before herself. That's why when she sings it's like she's telling a story. You will be hooked before you even know it. She has a 100+ covers to choose from ranging from the oldest ones up to the pop songs of today. But as a starter I suggest you start first when she joined and won the Norway's Got Talent.☺️

Angelina a is such a beautiful old soul, inside the body of a beautiful young lady 💗 If it's possible, my eyelashes get goosebumps, whenever I hear this young girl sing 💕 She sews her own clothes, is instrumental in the arrangements of the cover songs she sings, & has a huge heart, going barefoot in remembrance of the girl she met once, who couldn't afford shoes, & she gave her the shoes she had on!! What can I say, except **WOW** 💕 Side note: A lot of people say how much she sounds like Amy Winehouse, Billie Holiday, & Nora Jones, & she does, however, for me, I get a beautiful renaissance feeling of the late great, Bessie Smith 💕💕💕 GREAT REACTION 🤗

I don’t know what it is about her voice. Just about any song she sings makes me cry a good cry. Not many things in life does me . My heart is somehow in line with tone of her voice. The sound of her voice is so soothing and hypnotic that my mind goes to places in my past. Some memories are sorrowful and painful and just by listening to her angelic voice some how makes everything better and replaces them with joy and happiness. Welcome to the world of Angelina along with the rest of us mortals. She is my favorite singer of all time & she is the most versatile, covering most genres including jazz, pop, rock & blues. She has covered 114 songs at last count, including 3 of her own and 1 written for her by a Russian composer. This is a classic video of Angelina recorded when she was 9, but for some reason wasn't released until she was 10. This is not a typical video for her, one of the few professionally produced or where she growls and screams like this. Most are recorded at her home studio, either by herself with an instrumental backing track or with a friend playing acoustic guitar. She does it as a hobby because her family is very protective and don't want her to go commercial until she finishes school. She will be 14 in Jan 2020 and has already turned down several record contracts as well as Disney. When she is ready they will be fighting over her, I'm sure of it. A Million Years Ago is my favorite for shear beauty. The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face (beauty & tears), Always On My Mind (Tribute to grandfathers passing-many tears), Born To Die (beauty), It's A Man's World (power), I Have Nothing (power) & The Show Must Go On (power) are a few of my recommendations. *Angelina Jordan*
- Angelina Jordan was born Jan 10 2006 in Oslo, Norway. She is currently 13 (barely 9 in this performance)
- She began singing at the age of one and a half
- At 2 or 3 she discovered Jazz through TH-cam videos and started studying all the greats from Jazz history.
- Angelina always sings barefoot..... When Angelina was 6, she was traveling with her grandmother and met a poor girl with no shoes trying to make money on the streets. The girl complimented her on her pretty shoes, so Angelina took them off and gave them to the girl. She made a vow to always sing barefoot until all the children of the world could have shoes. To this day, whenever Angelina is performing in public, she sings barefoot to remind us that there are less fourtunate people in the world that could use our help. (that's a shortened version. the full story is more touching than the way I have told it here). When Angelina was 9 years old she wrote a book about the story that can be purchased on her website. - She has always been the driving force behind her own singing career. It was her that asked her mother to take her to Norways Got Talent, where she auditioned at 7 years old and went on to win the show at just 8 years old.
- In an interview after the show, when asked what she was going to do with the prize money, the 8 year old replied, "I would like to give it to orphans that need clothes and shoes"
- The reason you may not have heard of her is because her parents are very protective of her childhood. They do not want her to be thrust into stardom before she has a chance to grow up as a normal child, and finish her education. They allow her to do a few select shows (mainly private and charity events) with a couple public shows every year when she is out of school. Her mother said in an interview that they have turned down 90% of the offers that come in. I have heard they have turned down offers from many major record labels and even disney.
- Angelina has covered more than 100 songs over the last 6 years. She always selects the songs herself... everything ranging from old classic jazz to modern pop. She is able to change her voice to match any song she sings and make it her own. (she can cover Amy Winehouse and Lana del Rey like nobody else)
- Angelina has collaborated with some very big names over the last few years... Quincy Jones, Mark Ronson, David Foster, and many more. All of which heard her covering their songs and were blown away by her talent.
- Angelina has written three of her own original songs: "What is Life", "Shield" and "Oslo". (all are amazing...all can be found on youtube)
In summary, Angelina Jordan is destined to be one of the greatest singers to have ever lived. This is just my opinion, but if you listen closely to any of her stuff you will hear the greatness. She sings with a natural style. There is no acting, no showing off, there are no unnecessary runs, or big belty notes just for the purpose of saying "hey look at me sing". She once said "when I sing I go into a magical world in my head", and you can always hear the results of that. When Angelina sings it is pure soul, pure emotion, pure music.

@@Wolfm4n10 As far as I know, the only new reactor during the 10 days I was gone was 'vocal splendor' the day before I came back ...and there have been 3 new ones in the last day... I commented on all of them ;).
I have no solid evidence either way on the AGT thing... on the one hand, the posts I have seen do seem to have some validity... but on the other hand, I have heard that she said that she will never do talent shows again because it took her a while to get out from under the restrictions that the NGT contracts put on her. If it is true though, it may be that the 'champions' version of AGT may not result in the same kind of binding contracts... and she could be using it just for exposure purposes. I guess we will find out in January.
Personally, I am torn on how I feel about it. It would be great to see her get some prime-time US exposure, but it is also very concerning to think that she could end up in "the machine". IMO the money making music machine is a terrible thing for a child. They will try very hard to change her, and mold her into a product. I would rather see her stay true to her art. She does things differently than the industry may allow. I mean, does anyone think that Simon would back her doing something like her "Moon River"? I think they would try to modify that after one take, and it would morph into something totally different and lose all its magic.
....but she seems like a very strong person, so I really hope she stands her ground on her creative freedom. ...time will tell
@@RustyShacklefordChannel I agree completely with your fears. At the same time though. It kinda makes since. They can be smart and turn the tables, play "their" game and use them "the industry" to help fund her indi run after she fulfills her contract. Play the game, try to stay true and suck up the free publicity and jump start her career. Either way I think they are ready to unleash this mega talent on to the world.

She is without a doubt a 'jeweled gift' from God to so many in the World that are able to hear her. And my Gosh! what a journey and what amazing parents she has along with her cute supportive little sister. Her music will be played during my funeral that's for sure. Can you imagine for one second what will happen once she finishes school and sets out on her own without being controlled by the music industry? Wow!

She's 9 in this video, 14 right now. This is a tribute to Screamin' Jay Hawkins, that's who's on the candle @1:14. Her grandmother introduced her to jazz at the age of 1 1/2 years. She can sing even deeper, and her highs are just a robust. She won Norway's Got talent at 7.

On AGT, Angie made her outfit from patterns of her grandma's art work. She makes several of her other outfits for shows & concerts. If you continue to react to her many performances, and I hope you do, you are in for many pleasurable hours of excellent performances and your life will be changed for ever, I have listened to everything she has published on TH-cam and have often been surprised at her versatility but never disappointed by her performance. Listening to Angelina perform is an emotional experience in itself. In an imaginative moment I likened Angelina to a chameleon, inasmuch as a chameleon adapts its colour to blend with the surroundings, so Angelina adapts the "colour" of her voice to convey the emotions of the song and communicate those emotions to the listener. I follow a number of young singers through TH-cam and do so because their singing appeals to *my* emotions but good as they are and as much as I admire them, there is not one of them who can match Angelina's sheer ability and artistry in being able to sing so many musical genre in what appears to be an effortless manner.

You have just come face to face with a musical savant. She hears music totally differently from us normal humans. She makes every one feel that way, for a time, then you just enjoy what God has made. I love music, all kinds, and I have no talent whatsoever, except I can hear it. The first time I heard Angelina was her first audition for 'Norway's Got Talent' she sang "I'm A Fool To Want You". I had never heard anything like her and I am 68 yrs. old and have grown up around music all my life. I have a peculiar "talent" when I hear or experience something that overwhelms my ability to describe or explain what I just experienced, I cry. Even when I was young I would hear a song or a singer or both and i would tear up. It was involuntary and I was teased a lot as a youngster. Anyway, Angelina made me cry something fierce. Fortunately, I live alone. It was in the middle of the night around 3-4 am. I have a chronic problem and sometimes the pain is too much to sleep so I prowl the internet looking for singers mostly. That is how I came across Angelina. She has helped me through many nights. That first time was special. Did I mention she was 7 at that time. Oh, and she sang acappela without a start note from a piano or a pipe. She never hit a bad note or missed on her timing. It was, as I tear up now, sublime. It was a numinous experience. I must have listened to that video 20-30 times that night. So though she doesn't mean to, Angelina can make you feel small. But you aren't, you just have gifts in different things and amounts. Oh my I have gone on. I will subscribe to your site and check in from time to time to see what you are listening to. I am always looking for new musicians.

There are many Angelina fans, and she does have a unique voice. In another camp is a legion of passionate fans of also very young Courtney Hadwin. Courtney has a very different, equally unique performance style. She, too, is all over TH-cam from ages 8 to now 15. She was an America's Got Talent favorite and is signed with Syco/Arista music, recording a first album now. I would hope you would react to her as a budding superstar with an eye and ear towards contrasting styles with Angelina. Both are very talented, and there are dedicated fans with strong opinions and support for each young singer. Jenn, she was 8 years old in this video, yes she is from Norway, she won Norways got talent at 6 years old, she began singing in her crib with fake microphone at 1-1/2 years old (there is a video on that also), She is now 13 years old and has been around the world, she does best with only a acoustic guitar for music, but many orchestras are vying to play for her, watch her sing Michael Jacksons "I'll be there" at 8 years old in front of a black tie audience in restuarant, simply amazing.

She has over a billion hits on Facebook and You Tube, she has an unbelievable rang and many styles. @@Bjarmarsson Courtney and Angelina are a bit different. Courtney, while supremely talented, had only really shown her edgy rock side on the show. Had she done something like her "Sign of the Times" cover and shown more versatility, I think she would have had more wide spread support. The audience got it right in 2016, with Grace VanderWaal, and while she has been somewhat under the radar by choice (like Angelina), she is making a bit of a comeback with a new EP out soon and will be starring in a new Disney movie out in early 2020. I still remember that I was shocked in a positive way, and I have ever since that time been a fan. A fan of a child. I wouldn't believed it if you had asked me 10 years ago.
I have never been interested in the jazz music genre , but Angelina's interpretations of old jazz music classics has "opened my eyes" for that kind of music for sure, and in a way "touched me".

It's amazing what TH-cam dredges up. More people have access to be heard. Imagine in the old days the talent that went unheard? Exposing children to music or any art or sport at a young age gives those with an innate talent the opportunity to develop from those precious formative years with no habits or preconceived ideas. Adults today should not feel bad. They just never had the opportunity. Had Mozart's father not have been a musician and trained him early....who knows if he would have developed at genius level. Tiger Woods played golf from 2 yrs old. He had a flair for it. And now he's top of the top. Todays kids have opportunity like never before. I just hope a million parents don't force their children into things hoping to create a money making star. The child MUST be drawn to it naturally with a fervor. It must resonate from their soul. You can't force that or teach it. Jordan was born to do it. It will be interesting to see where she goes musically.
